After the guitar tech got the pre-amp changed back to 9V (the original owner had poorly wired it for 18V), it sounds great. I also had him add the pre-amp bypass switch. The Bartolini MK-1 pickups are so smooth. These Artisans are highly underrated basses.

Cort makes a lot of guitars and basses for many other companies. Most people put Cort down, but they've been around a long time and make great basses regardless of the name on the headstock. They have a few neck thru basses in natural finishes that I have been eyeing for a while. Not to the point of G.A.S. yet, but it's only a matter of time.

I've got my trusty old Yamaha BBN4.

Now, I've just completed my Replica P-bass.

Had three many years ago- two Yamahas (the BBN4 and an older, bottom end B-series that I think had a plywood body! I kid you not!). and an Aria SB that fell off its stand and decapitated itself (and had some serious body damage). Used to bring all three to gigs, just to P-O my lead guitarist (who always brought TWO guitars)...

up to 40...just pulled the trigger on this last evening....couldn't take the G.A.S. any longer...it was killing me!

2014 Fender American Special Precision Sandblasted. The price was just right that I really couldn't pass this up.

I should have it sometime next week.

Ordered a custom Keisel JB4 Jazz Bass in Surf Green with birdseye maple neck and headstock. That will make 5 for me. The one I ordered will have the Keisel logo on the headstock. Carvin's out of business.

Amen to that brother. I’ve been at home waiting on back surgery scheduled for 5/7 and basses and music are what’s help retain my sanity and keep me from depression for the past four months.

Thanks brother. Surgery was a success and the long road to recovery has begun. Now My patience will really be tested.

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery @armybass! Watch out for those opioid pain killers they prescribe though. Easy as pie for a good man to get addicted without even realizing it.....
