How many basses do you own, total?

Had 2.

Joined TB - I have 9 now. Plus the Ibanez that Santa just bought my 7 year old.

4 Jazz Basses
3 Spectors
1 P-Bass
1 Epiphone
(1 Ibanez Mikro under the x-mass tree)

2 Guitars (for when my Guitard Friends come over).

I will likely be thinning the herd as I am playing my new 6 almost exclusively (and want another one).

5 String
1 - Lakland US Sheff
3 - Lakland Skylines (JoBo, 55-01, Scheff)
4 - Yamaha's (RBXA2, BB605, BB605, BB415)
1 - Carvin AC50 Acoustic
1 - MM Stingray
1 - Bil Mitchel Custom ABG

4 String
1 - Teisco Del Rey Beatle Bass (My First Bass)
1 - '65 Fender P bass (My 2nd Bass)
1 - '72 Jazz Bass
1 - Fender JP90 Fretless
1 - Rick Turner Ren 4
1 - Coral Bass w/ Lipstick Pickups

6 String
1 - Danelectro 6 String Tic Tac Bass

And 4 Guitars...

Too bad there are so few gigs these days..

4 total at the moment, with #5 enroute...

4-stringers, fretted:
1 Fender MIM P-Bass, flatwound strings
1 Fender MIM Jazz Bass ('70's reissue) with roundwounds
1 Ibenez SR 400, round wounds
1 Ministar Basstar Practice Bass

Ordered and enroute:

1 Ministar Basstar 5-string, fretless...

next year want to get a 5-String Dingwall combustion...

I have more than one...and less than 100. :hiding:

Basses, that is...

There's also a few guitars and other stringed instruments around the house. The process of acquisition started more than 30 years ago, and it is still ongoing. I keep pretty much everything I buy; I've only sold off three things. Everybody in my total collection gets a turn to play. No one is ignored, therefore none of them complain. :smug:

Joe Hilgeman

1 Upton Standard ply upright
2 fretted 4-string bass guitars (Fender J and P)
1 fretless 5-string (Joe Veillette) that I don't play much and should probably look to sell
2 acoustic BGs (Fender 4 and Ibanez 5) that I use to practice

On the way - a 2nd Upton upright, this one a Hybrid.

So, the total will soon be 7.

As to the 2 uprights and 2 ABGs, I can justify it at least partially by the fact that I split my time between 2 places about 100 miles apart, and it's not practical to keep hauling them back and forth. (The electrics I use only in one of the locations.)

Oh yeah, the number of basses I own...
Presently 3
91 Carvin LB-75
07 ESP LTD B-404
08 Clement Custom #94

With a Peavey T-40 presently en route..:hyper:

And hopefully an SX PJ for Christmas! :bassist:

I am married and the wife has input on these purchases. Mostly her input has been "you're not in a band-why do you need these"
Now that I'm in a band, its "we dont have the room for any more basses" and "you only play 1 at a time, why do you need more?"
Some things never really change :hmm:

Just updating, the T-40 arrived safe and sound AND the SX PJ was waiting for me Christmas morning.
Then in March I found an awesome deal on a Schecter Riot 5.

So now I'm up to 6!

5 currently with 1 more on order:

Warwick Corvette Standard 4
Spector Legend Classic 5
Spector Performer 4
Dean Sledgehammer 4
OLP Stingray 5 copy
and an OLP Stingray 4 headed my way

I also have 4 guitars (Gretsch 5120, Fender Tele, Epiphone Les Paul Jr, and no-name Les Paul Standard copy)

Already on the search for more!!

6 basses and 2 guitars (I don't really play guitar)
