100-ish? Could be 2-3 in a week, then 2 weeks of nothing. I envy those late show guys...consistency!

I didn't play anywhere but my bedroom this year except for one time when I played in a rehearsal room with some guys I know. 2016, however, may see me playing one gig after my band finishes their second album. I don't expect to make any money off it, though, as we only play originals and there is no market for that in Los Angeles.

Voted 13 to 26. Last couple years, it's been quality over quantity, and primarily original music. Was 70 just 3 years ago. ..with challenging job and family, gigging became another job. Can't have that.

Not nearly enough. I was at about 60 or so this past year.

I'm looking for / hoping for more 2 night weekends (Fri/Sat or compelling Sundays).
2016, for me, is already booking up nicely and a few more venues showing interest, so here's to a 1 weekend a month off schedule, potential 100+ gig year!

I do a lot of pickup gigs (pass the hats) and one-offs and recording that I don't have to drag all my gear to so that will pad things nicely as well. I just want to keep working, keep busy, justify owning my gear.

We average about 54 shows per year that is pretty consistent number for us however with all the issue we had this year with band members injuries and family matters, we only did 38 of the 52 shows we had booked.
Hopefully we can get back on track for 2016 already have shows booked for May and July 2016. Wishing everyone a gig filled 2016 RTS

Just started gigging again in April (after 15 years off) and played 23 gigs this past year. Had a ton of fun and yet also had a couple nights where I remembered why I stopped gigging oh so many years ago!

Only 37, but I was recovering from a knee replacement so I didn't have many gigs in Jan/Feb/March, and then I had more health problems as the year went on. I am hoping to get back on track to ~50 gigs next year, my usual average.

I'll be around 50-ish, if I remember correctly. One more gig with the acoustic trio the day after Xmas, and then we're done for this year. After I "retired" (for the third time again) from BarStardom last year, I played a couple of fill-in gigs here and there to help out friends, and ended up in an acoustic trio playing AEBG and cello. While I readily admit it's some of the most fun I've had musically in a long time, I had long ago lost the desire to play all the time. I just wanted some time off. Unfortunately, as is always the case, we ended up playing much more than the projected "couple gigs a month." I seem to fall for that every time. No more traveling this year, though. Everything was local.

I was out of commission due to a finger injury for the whole summer which really made a dent in my total this year. About 30 in all I guess.

24-36 range and that is an abysmal year for me... been getting worse and worse. In 2011-2012 it was about 120 a year. The lack of gigs has inspired me to take the leap and leave my band of 5 years. I love the guys and they are my friends and I have wanted to do other stuff for a long time but I stuck with it because of the steady work. Since I no longer have that as a reason to stay... 2016 will see me as more of a freelance guy. I will gladly join the right band with the right players but plan on also being more available for sub work which could lead to more contacts and more work. At this point in my career it is much more about the music than the money... but I still like to be able to fund GAS ect.

Right around 60, I have a house band gig once a week and did several fill in's for friends. That's about as much as I can handle before my wife starts to complain about not seeing me enough.

Right at 115. I say "right at", because we did a few "doubles(two shows in one day)" and I know I'm forgetting something. We've already got 2016 booked, so next year will be about the same...
