Nice, David! But I'm also totally down with the purist thing as well. I'm for whatever someone feels they need to get through their gig, whether it's nothing or 100 pedals in a fridge rack with midi switchers and 5 different signals to the board. I did no pedals for a while my own self, actually did a gig today where the stage was tiny and skipped the pedals, and most of the time my pedals are off as well. Well, maybe half the time. On some gigsJimmy, my friend...I love that! Between 1 and 16... Your a mad scientist (even more than me) hat's off to you! I was a total purist, taught by a total purist. Now I use an m.x.r custom comp to feed a Mel 9 then an E.H. epitome after those... I still run just bass a lot but I must admit I'm looking at some other pedals... Apparently the pedal road has no exits, hope all is well with you. David
job?

I dont use any pedals at all..I have a rack mounted tuner and rack mounted preamp in a rack with my SVT amp but thats it..I do use use multiple cabinets..I usually dont use anything with an active bass, but I know I am in the minority. No compression. I like chorus and reverb occassionally. I use a DI box with passive basses.
What do you bring to a show and punch in for more than one song.

So you are not really a pedal phile.According to the thread title, I use 3. Gas, break, clutch.
According to the post, I use 1. Overdrive...slightly on sometimes. Just to add a little bit of edge and volume boost if we get fast and thrashy.
Is there a pedal that will make my Mark Bass sound like an SVT?I dont use any pedals at all..I have a rack mounted tuner and rack mounted preamp in a rack with my SVT amp but thats it..I do use use multiple cabinets..
