Probably not.

since I dont use pedals..I am the wrong person to ask that question..I have read that some of the ampeg and tech 21 pedals can get close..but have never tried any of them..

I can't vote. Just my bass and a pick. No disrespect meant to those who use pedals. I admire people that can make them work. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. What's really stupid is people who say you don't need them. How the hell do you know what someone else needs?

Hey there Mr. Groot. I have been playing through an ampeg direct injection di box for several years now. It goes to all gigs and to the studio as well. According to ampeg, it is an actual svt front end circuit and it takes one 12ax7 tube. It might be worth taking a listen to. They haven't made these in a while but they pop up on eBay from time to time. I've had mine over ten years and it's never faultered, not once. Cheers, Dave O.

I don’t have a job but always 10... why 10? Cos I’m not taking apart my pedalboard! (That and I do use every pedal... tuner, overdrive, flanger, synth, two distortions, fuzz, reverb, chorus and volume/wah )

I bought a Sho-Bud pedal steel guitar volume pedal and used it on one particular ballad to simulate bowing my fretless. Somewhere there is a recording of a demo we did at CBS studios on West 57th street in NYC of that ballad. If I find it I’ll post it. Now it’s pretty much limited to an occasional chorus effect and the graphic eq pedal. So, keep sharing what your using. I love living vicariously in the pedal galaxy!

I enjoy watching and listening to what others do with pedals. Back in the day I had a Phase 90 and a ‘blue box’ octave pedal. I only used them on a couple of tunes. I bought a Sho-Bud pedal steel guitar volume pedal and used it on one particular ballad to simulate bowing my fretless. Distortion and Dunlop Hendrix wahwah pedals. It was a lot of fun. I also did all the guitar tracks. This is why I’m not allowed to play guitar in public! Ha!

Here’s another mutitrack I recorded using. Boss 505 bass pedal when I had just finished recovering from detached retina surgery. This was playing in my head for a month while I couldn’t move or play music.

For preference? Just TU2 for tuning and stage muting.

In reality for a working function gig; Boss ME50B. Less to carry, and this nicely covers everything from compression to tuning to light FX.

It varies - but currently 4. Tuner, Compression (always on), Distortion and a Drop pedal (band does lots of 90’s drop tuned songs). Will add the Zoom B3 if we’re doing songs that really require something different (chorus, delay, etc).
