How many TBers don't use straplocks?

I have them one two of my basses - quite like them... But on my 3rd, I don't - and it has yet to cause me an issue, but I HAVE had to "catch" my bass a few times... I keep meaning to install locks on that bass... but I am cheap and lazy...!

I've found using better straps works great. Look for stitching around the hole the strap button goes in.

I've stopped using strap locks. I'm not spinning my bass or anything.

I'm using a Couch strap now, and I'm not having issues. With my old Dunlop straps, I did have to catch the bass more often.

If you -really- want your bass to stay on, and don't mind the strap ALWAYS being there, go to the hardware store and get a screw and washer and bolt it on. No more problems. Ever.

I have never used them in my 38 years + of playing. I have used the rubber washer technique once in awhile, when a particular strap may have some issues of staying on. I've been scolded by a few of my friends every so often, who do use them; but I've watched them deal with stripped out screw holes, and have other issues. I'm not against them, but I've never felt a pressing need to install them on my instruments.
