How much to replace your board?

Yeah, at that time I was actively gigging on BG, EUB, electric guitar, guitar synth, and heavily processed vocals that I often tweaked in real time. The general concept was clean stereo plus a dedicated dirt/stunt channel, with four presets and a couple of expression pedals that could be assigned to different parameters in each patch. Sound dudes hated me, off course. :roflmao:

Only a few pieces left by now, but I still have all those needs, plus I've added acoustic guitar and a banjo/dobro hybrid instrument to boot.

I've owned the VT Bass for more than 10 years. That was my only pedal until very recently. I saw the Zoom MS-60B+ on Reverb for cheap, so I figured it could be fun. What a mistake that was. Now the flood gates have opened! I'm anxiously watching the tracking for my next pedal, a Source Audio Ultra Wave. I'm thinking I'll probably let the Keeley go because the C4 does everything i can ever imagine needing.

I'm still messing around with the order of them so if anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I don't know a thing about this stuff but it's a lot of fun just trying different things.

I had to laugh. I've been immersed in printed circuit boards all week, at home and at work. So when I saw "board" I first thought about circuit boards. Then just as I clicked on the thread, I wondered if maybe it was about fingerboards, because my upright bass has a fingerboard problem.

Now I know. ;)

I would never admit that, but I've played gigs with a Nano that held a Sansamp PBDDI, a Strymon BlueSky and a tuner and musicians praised me for the tone I got.

This CCM classic "Bethel" board cover all my needs, about $1300:
  • Tone Hammer DI, $225
  • Bass Microsynth, $300
  • JHS Kilt drive/fuzz, $180
  • HX One multi effects, $300
  • Mono Lite+ Board, $150
  • CIOKS DC7, $175
However, I've also acquired many other pedals to swap out from week to week and a larger Mono board. All-in about $3200.
The TOTAL bass hobby inventory (pedals, Moog synth, 4 basses) is $12K.
I compare this to my previous off-roading Jeep hobby rig at $50K and bass is much cheaper.

Shure GLXD+ - $500
CIOKS DC7 - $230
Pedaltrain Nano - $80
Cabling - $100 (give or take)

$1,510 ($2,110)

I sometimes use a Khan DI after my Stomp so add another $600 that’s not “on the board” officially.

Pretty modest considering what some have.

That is a pretty modest board. It seems like a simple board with a lot of possibilities! I'm sure the Khan sounds nice after the Stomp. I know you had a reddi for a bit, I can't remember if you ever tried the neptunium? If so, how did that compare with the khan and red?
