Yeah, I like TV. Recently, I got upset when my cable carrier was going to raise my bill up $35 a month. So, I dumped them. I went "cold turkey" and it was killing me. I'm OK now.
What I really miss the most is the DVR which allowed me to control what I watched and when I watched it. Commercials were fast forwarded. CBS evening news was reduced to about 17 min. instead of 30 mins. Then, I started zipping through news stories that didn't interest me and I got the evening news down to about 9 mins. Two hours of CBS Morning Show down to 20 mins.
TCM was #1 on my list of TV viewing. PBS Nova, Frontline, Sesame Street (joking). Jeopardy. True crime shows, ID channel. God I love TV and I really miss my cable.
I need to get into Ruko and the other streaming options but at age 67, I am technically ******** and don't know how to do it and am too lazy to try.
Perhaps not quite as up there as Killed by Death but close to it.
Now, I hardly watch TV 'cause all I got are the terrible antenna stations. But, I've been buying DVDs at the thrift stores by the scores for $1.99.
Most of my bass playing is in front of the TV plugged into my little amp and speaker cab.
