I have metal grills for my hartke cabs and the Ampeg I park with the grill facing the wall unless I am using it.

No but seriously: my old cat miraculously never touched my old warwick combo covered in the finest, most scratchable carpet ever. I guess you can only really over alternatives the cat likes even more while some deterring it from scratching the amp. I'd go with the aluminium foil.

Try spraying your amp cover with citrus air freshener frequently.
Cats (well, most cats) dislike the smell of citrus.
That's how we broke our cats from jumping on kitchen counters. Citrus scented cleaner.
If that doesn't work with your cat then you have a defective cat. Can't really help you then.
But follow up with the manufacturer to see if they can provide a replacement.

Really?? Where are you from that parrots can't be seen in the wild?? Just interested..... not knocking or anything.
They might be nice looking but when over 100 sulphur crested cockatoos discover that your newly renovated pub has most of the outside detail made of plastic coated polystyrene (not my decision, but that of the developer who thought that the fake Italian concrete scrolls looked good) and then proceed to rip it to bits to the point that it looked like it has snowed each morning, and ended up doing $40,000 worth of damage, you might not like them so much.
On the other hand, Rosella's are awesome little colourful birds that can be taught to eat off your hand quite easily. The only problem, like most parrots, is that when you go away for a few days they will chew anything made of wood out of boredom. Either that, or they are pissed off that you're not there to feed them. They'll even come in the house for a feed and chill out on your ski's and snowboard on the balcony as shown here back in the mid 90's. As we also found out, they'll come inside and help themselves to the seed if you leave the door open when not at home. When they set their mind to it parrots will do 10 times the damage that cats can do....... but while they're doing it they strut and bop in such a cool way you might even forgive them.
Cosmo the all powerful does not like the talk of de-clawing.....my guys dont care about anything but rat fur. i would try and avoid it. Now if I could control the white hair everyplace......
My cats cuddle with cucumbers....we actually tried the trick and they like cukes!

Monk Parrots or Parakeets have escaped from homes and established populations all over the east coast. When i lived in fairfield CT we had a flock in our yard. They build massive colony nests and destroy all kinds of stuff....and yes if you keep them as pets they talk. Find em all over the east coast of the US....

In the country we see ducks, geese, wild turkeys, owls, hawkes, eagles, some large scavengers; many species of smaller birds. Too cold so some migrate south for the winter. Like many of the people that they call snowbirds.
Old folk remedy for scratching cats - keep a split log nearby. The cats would rather scratch natural wood than finished material. That's the theory anyway, depends on the cat.
I guess not. Not sure what happened to the alligator, normally the bath tub was reserved for curing corned beef.

cats are terrible house pets, peeing on everything to mark territory and shredding if they have their front claws. My bands guitarist won't buy used gear for fear it will smell like cat piss. This is why we can't have nice things
I can't think of a material they won't use to sharpen their claws with. I've seen them use wooden door frames, drywall, cloth and leather sofas, and carpets.
