how to protect the amp from bad voltage?

If you wnat to stick with your amp and can not be guaranteed stable voltage (whether low or high) then the practical answer is a generator.
If it were me, I'd find an amp that I liked as much but wasn't so much of a problem child

what if i buy the furman P-1400 AR E? this is only 6 ampere. use this exclusively with the titan. is more or less 1000 euros. better than the 3200 euros the 30 ampere model costs.

are there other alternatives to furman or not?

since your titan has a 20 amp circuit breaker on it, i don't think that the 6A regulator would be a good idea.

Why would you need full 30 amp capacity when you are dealing with spikes and dips? Surely a smaller unit could supplement during a temporary sag where it is supporting and not carrying the full load?

I've gigged with a furman ar15 because voltage here is crap everywhere, from my work to house to the bars I play. Electronics fry constantly. Sometimes I don't use anything but thats just asking for trouble. I try to use amps that are easy to repair and are built like tanks because of that.

To get an idea, I only plug things in when I use them, and when I close at work we shut the power off and that still hasn't stopped a couple of ACs, a TV frying at home, not to mention our heavy duty machinery...

Cheaper and lighter solution is to get another power amp that isn't so sensitive and use the preamp out on the Titan. 3000Euros is too much for any tone if you ask me! But 300Euro for a Peavey, that girlfriend can stick around.

got a furman ar 2330 today. older model but at a nice price and it gives me 30ampere.

tomorrow i will probably have my titan back. lets see how it goes.

My complete setup takes about 6A at "earbleed" sound levels, you see the Ampere meter (in my Samson PB10, max 10A) go up when you play loud notes.

That's a Bass 400, Strategy 400 and lots of effects.
I'm no expert, but don't think the Titan needs more (about 3 times more) than my setup.. (?)

I think the 1400 will do the job, you can use its big brother for the whole bands backline I guess (and share costs)
