How you stand when gigging on stage

I am curious about the way fellow TB'ers stand when performing on stage regardless of genre of music they play.

you can usually find me swinging left and right like an inverted pendulum...

but sometimes i bring my 30 foot cable to big band practice and hop around the brass section...
(i'm usually on their riser, to stage right, with my amp on the floor...)

I sit all the time. I'm only able to stand at all for a minute anyway, playing or not, so it's not really fair for me to answer. But I did anyway.

Pretty much everything but sitting. My normal stance is standing with my weight on one leg and kind of bouncing and twisting left and right... if that makes sense...

I'm usually somewhere in the crowd, bobbing, weaving, float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Gotta be moving to get the crowd going.

I usually hold myself up with one leg and then keep the ball of my other foot on the floor and kind of bob up and down/front to back in time with the music. I stomp my foot alot too.

And when things start getting fast and i get into it i do some random stuff.

I only sit for classical (guitar) gigs, and the occasional jazz (guitar) gig.

I do usually take off my shoes, though.

You didnt mention the ox stance...just stand in front of your amp and let the noted bring the house down.

Um, every orchestral bassist, for one. Just about every ABGist, pit bassist, etc...

I stand in a way that allows me to play most effeciently. Anything else is posing.

Standing most of the time. Sometimes swaying or power stance if things are appropriate. I've bounced before, but it's rare and it's been a while.

When I first started in bands, I pretty much stood still. But now I find myself enjoying the expressive, interactive, and just plain fun elements of gigs as much as the music itself. I'm almost always moving!
