Has anybody here covered Shai's "If I Ever Fall In Love"?



It was huge back then, but seems to be almost forgotten today, plus the vocal harmonies would make it difficult to cover. The early 90s had quite a bit of stuff like this.

I've only heard the Sanchez version of this which is great. Check it out if you aren't familiar with it.

I'd venture to say, just about any Grateful Dead covers are rare. I could never get any band I was with to try them. Truckin' and Sugar Magnolia have nice harmonies and were both hits; probably harder to play than Casey Jones or Friend of the Devil.

"Truckin'" would be a blast to play, and most mainstream audience members have heard it.

Maybe it's geographical. I've heard cover bands in CA play Warewolves, Excitable Boy, and Lawyers, Guns and Money to name a few Zevon songs.

I think this is one that would be difficult to pull off live. It's very obviously heavily edited. I wanted to have my band try but even just trying at home it didn't work well acoustically. I love this track though.
