HUGE TRADE GONE BAD

I slogged through nineteen pages of this stuff, and I still don't get it.
Shrek stole somebody's bass and then donkey said he would get it back, but it turns out donkey was actually Shrek. And the OP is possibly both of those people? Also, teleportation is now a viable means of shipping?

I work the night shift on Friday here (UK) and I usually wind down with a book or film before getting a few hours in before a gig. It's now 9.21am and this thread has had me gripped.
I hope everything is resolved soon for all parties.
And regarding Evan I'd just like to say this:
For a long time I always sought to find the good in others and if this was a one-off circumstance, and he does actually right his wrongs, I would hope this community forgives him. However, I have learned over time that some people struggle to feel remorse for their actions; they'll happily deceive and manipulate others to get their way and only play nicely when they've been found out.
That said I have known a few people with psychological disorders who either turned into temporary kleptomaniacs or commit crime as a way of venting/lashing out. He may not be entirely to blame for his actions.
Whatever sort of person he is, I really hope he changes his ways... from what I can see from my desk there are three routes:
1 - He changes his attitude.
2 - He refines his art and continues to f*** over others.
3 - He eventually gets caught again and either faces jail, or encounters someone far less understanding than this community and receives the beating of a lifetime (or worse.)
The really sad thing is most leopards don't change their spots (unless they can afford plastic surgery)
Just my 2 cents.

No, no, no. Shrek and Donkey are the same (there's a Mike a few pages down, who turns out to be Puss-in-boots). The OP is legit, and WILL be getting his bass back soon, if Shrek/Donkey/Puss-in-boots/probably-Princess-Fiona-too-in-the-past does go tomorrow to the UPS office and ships it back. Nobody is really sure if Shrek/Donkey/Puss-in-boots/probably-Princess-Fiona-too-in-the-past's apologies are sincere.
I was watching a movie with the Mrs.... wow... 34 pages now, I guess I missed a lot. But it sounds like things may work out. Nice offer there Waterpilot; are you going all the way to GF or are you meeting up further south? Might be an interesting trip....

I am set into meeting with professional help to deal with these issues. I can only say that this is sincere. I am meeting tomorrow with Lyle to hand over the bass to be sent back to Shawn. I have sent messages to the prior parties involved offering some form of resolve in the form of cash in excess of the damage I have caused them. Enough to buy two of the intstruments lost at least. I am trying to fix things, I have real people who depend on me and am doing nothing but ruin my life and theirs by allowing myself to have gone through with any of the mal preceedings of past here. As soon as everyone gets in contact with me, I will be glad to make arrangements in this pursuit
I am not looking for an appology as has been mocked to me by, I am not looking to earn anything back. My morals failed and it's time for what has been wrong to be made right as I can. I only want to try and fix things. I will not return to any of this as it is not healthy and becomes like a drug. I must stop completely, but only after I have been given chance to get a hold of all involved.

Holy Moly! What a read. I'm local to the area and am familiar with this band. Mick is a real person and seems like a genuine dude. Evan im sorry you feel you have to quit music altogether. That's a damn shame. You should just grow up and not do this stuff. I hope you get what's coming to you whether you fix your wrong doings or not.
I think you can pretty much rule out #2. The harsh reality is that he's gotta be the single dumbest con guy I've ever come across. It took a few guys all of about an hour to get his address, band, facebook page, list of locations where he's going to be gigging..... we've even got the guy's mums email address! Best case scenario is that he gets done by the cops. Otherwise some day, somebody will come a knockin. And it won't be to sell cookies.
