Honestly, not sure, but I'll say this, I hear no real change in the tone when switching it back and forth.

Also, I heard a rumor, that an Italian pedal maker has copied this pedal, and was selling them for $50... I am looking into getting more info, but don't hold your breath.

A friend told me the Animato is crap, unless you play it with a LS-2 ?!

Yes, or some type of blender. I would agree that is is not practical on bass in this respect...

But if you add clean to it... Be very afraid.

may be it wont sound right alone untill u mix it with the muff/ or running the oc2 into the animato
as kaputsport suggested.

... i am counting it all on you to make the decision on buying the clone or the real one!

I just luckily found the animato on yahoojp and will arrived on few day,
But have a question,my ordered animato serial no. is "AD-168",is it probably the first 168 units?
Don't know why is "AD" not "A",or this is a reissue version... T.T

So this clone is a dud? That would make me very happy if it wasn't. I've been dying for one of these guys for about 5 years now.

So I just bought the clone from italy, but he did not list he would ship to the US...

And I tried to pay, but there was no shipping charges added, so I will have to wait and see what he says.

If it all goes through, I will do a side by side comparison video... And I might even do both at the same time just for the hell of it. The best part is that I have a real one, so we will see back to back weather or not this is a good replacement.

Anyway, I paid straight away, and expect to see this show up sometime soon. I have a few videos on youtube redoing some Muse tones, and figured if you wanted a specific comparison and tones, here you are. This is Volume 3, and the intro song is the animato in "Deadstar".

You can find volume 2 with Hysteria and a few others.
