I took abnormal psychology in college...I know what I"m talking about here people.

If so, I sure hope the battery in his car didn't die while he was driving! Oh gosh!
The sound you are hearing is not infact a blown speaker, but is in fact a blown battery. I don't know if anyone has told you that or not, 
but put in a fresh one and you should have some fresh sound again...

Clearly he didn't take his bass to a guitar store to get a professional to change the battery, he has probably been shocked and died... RIP.

You guys are making such a joke out of it. lol When I found out my battery was dead I was told I had "a severe electrical problem". Scared the **** out of me. I hope our little friend punkindrublic does find out his trouble is not as awful as it seems.
Yeah sure...that could be possible; however we're talking about the daunting task of battery replacement here

then then replace the battery in the old bass,

don't know if you've tried this, but i've heard tell a few times that replacing some odd thing called a battery can help. now i have no clue what that is, where it is, or where one might get a replacement, but i'm sure some other TBer might be of use. anybody?
