Ibanez ATK initial impressions

Oh man I'm right now gassing for one.. That ATK300 with natural finish (Marcus Miller vibe).. I just saved money for an amp but now all I want is this bass.. Or maybe ATK700 but I have to order that cause they don't have it at store
The only thing that I don't like is that bridge? Is it possible to replace the bridge with let's say badassII?

It might be *physically* possible, but the bridge takes up the lower half of the body on the ATK - it reaches all the way up and around the pickup, as shown in the pix. From what I know (which ain't much), the stock bridge is what gives the ATK so much of its tone.

well, i just love it, best deal i ever had, i asked on a portuguese store for one and they shipped one just for me, i spent like 510€ (about 500$ or a little less) and i have no words to describe it.
just love it

I recorded a few things on Saturday at our gig... so I thought I'd put on up...

I actually uploaded it because I was making fun of my bandmate and his massively out of tune guitar.

Still, you can hear the ATK in a blues situation... KWS Shame Shame Shame cover.

Vocals and Kick drum in the PA... 3 piece band. Recorded with a Sony stereo condenser into an Olympus DS30 voice recorder.

Just a note on both of my Korean mid 90's ATK 300's ... both of them needed the 1/4" barrel input jack replaced with new ones ... apparently this was a VERY common problem ... the Koreans used the cheapest possible input jacks they could on those. Other than that, no problems!

WHERE did you get the replacement jack? do you know how it's wired?
