That was that model of BTB they only produced for 1 year isn't it. Shame, as I thought that sunburst really suited BTBs.
Well, the main difference I would look out for is the neck profile. IIRC all of the SR.... series basses have narrow necks, the BTB's have wide but thin necks. I don't know about the sustain, but presumably you would get more due to the neck through.
Thanks Juan,This is one of my favorite basses.She is a 1999 BTB1000E with Ibanez pups and active Ibanez EQ.I keep her in the rotation but I'm very careful about where she goes. Love the tones i get from her .
I recently purchased a 2004 BTB400QM HS so I can identify with taking one of your favorite girls out. I also love the beautiful warm tone that I can get and then instantly switch settings for the growl which is unique among my other basses.

Like I don't have enough basses and you go ahead and GAS me up! lol I love wood grain basses. They are down to earth and reflect the beautiful lows that emanate from them. That's a beautiful instrument. Take good care of her!

well, the neck profile isn't for everyone, very wide and thin, so it would be best to try before you buy, but all round they are great basses for the money.
No news, seller never replied. Either I was too slow or it wasn't legit.

Shouldn't take too long to get used to, and once you do, everything else will seem too damn small. I prefer the wide necks cause I have pretty big hands. Beautiful bass btw.
