if you could have 10 and ONLY 10 basses...

OK, OK.

I'd have:

1. Fender Roscoe Beck V
2. another Fender Roscoe Beck V
3. Fender American Jazz Deluxe V
4. Fender American Jazz Deluxe V FMT
5. Ernie Ball Stingray 5
6. Pedulla ThunderBass 5 fretless
7. Zon Sonus 5
8. Lakland 55-94 Deluxe
9. Lakland 55-94 Deluxe fretless
10. Yamaha TRB5-PII

And that's what I have, so I'm done.
Heh, heh, heh.

Rickenbacker 4001
Rickenbacker 4001CS
Rickenbacker 4003
70's Fender Jazz
A Sadowsky
An Alembic
Some Custom Singlecut
Custom Conklin
Custom Doubleneck (Guitar/Bass)
MIA Standard Fender Jazz (workhorse when I don't want to risk one of the others)

I'm actually more interesed in amps. My dream amp collection would be WAYYYY larger than my dream bass collection. 8-12 basses is about all I could ever want but if I had all the money in the world I would by sooo many amps. I don't know why but amplifiers facinate me.

Fender Jazz (mine, with my mods)
Fender Precision (mine, with my mods)
Rickenbacker 4001
EB MM Stingray 5
Gibson Thunderbird
Gibson EB0 (Only Mine, if it was a different one, I wouldn't care.)
Dano Longhorn
Fender Mike Dirnt P-Bass
Fender Marcus Miller Jazz V
A nice high-end acoustic

Hmmm,
American Deluxe V w/Sadowsky electronics
American Standard V w/Sadowsky electronics
L-2500
Zon Sonus V, or 2
Mid 90s Warwick Thumb BO V, all wenge neck
Mid 90s Warwick Streamer LX V, all wenge neck
Lakland 55-94, ash/birdseye/duncans
78 White Pbass, rosewood
USATK V, w/PBC neck

Oh wait, I already have those :bassist: I don't know, at this point a real Sadowsky would be nice, or a nice P5. But for the 1st time in a long time, I'm pretty satisfied with what i have. Rare is the time I go into GC or Sam's Ass and see anything to drool over. A nice 70's J would be nice to go with the P, although I probably wouldn't play it much.

1. Geddy Lee Rickenbacker double-neck 4080/12
2. Wal Mach III (24-fret 6-string, Claro Walnut & Birdseye Maple, Black Satin and chrome hardware)

8. My Old Dolan custom 32" P-Bass
9. 80's MIJ 32" P-Bass

Ten just for collecting? Well ....

1. 1960 Fender P (only original parts, no mods)
2. Ampeg Scroll Bass
3. Original Ampeg Baby bass (I know it's not a BG, but..)
4. Bebensee 5 (any one will do nicely)
5. Jerzy Drodz 5 (again, any one will be fine)
6. Conklin 6 string (but that would probably get played all of the time!)
7. Alembic
8. Any LowEnd (never saw one in person, but they just seem too cool for words!!)

1. Reverend Brad Houser
2. Musicman Stingray 5
3. Spector NS/2 (or 4)
4. Surine Quest Series X 4-string
5. Surine Homage Series X 5-string
6. Lakland 4-94
7. Sadowsky 4-string
8. Hanewinckel Signature Series
9. an F Bass
10. a Fodera

My list has changed a bit.

First, I'd keep 1, 7 (although I'd consider a 5-string), and 8 then add:

Nordstrand
Roscoe
Rob Allen 5-string fretless
Reverend 4-string
Schecter Custom Shop Jazz
Modulus Quantum
JAF Eidas 4-string (already have it...sorta...)
