I love old funky stuff that you pick up in pawn shops & flea markets. I just missed an 80's japanese vox w/ a P body & vox headstock for less than $200 on ebay. I'll probably be burned at the stake for this, but I don't like the exotics (sp?) much, but I play punk, rock, garage, surf, rockabilly & country so the cheap stuff usually gets the job done. Don't get me wrong, I would love a room full of expensive basses, but my budget is basically "no budget". Here's a wishlist though:
1. 70's Fender P bass
2. 70's Fender jazz bass
3. Kramer Spector, an old one
4. Mosrite bass (love 'em!)
5. Ibanez Black Eagle (yeah, I know...)
6. Music Man Sting Ray (older)
7. Gibson Ripper (w/ flying V headstock)
8. Rickenbacker 4001
9. Fender California Special (best of both worlds)
10. Ampeg Dan Armstrong bass (I must own this bass!)

heres my new list:

1: outrageous conklin fretted 9, tons of electronics, insane woods, etc
2: conklin fretless 4 string simple and sweet
3: fretted 6 string hane
4: fretted Dhuff 5er
5: sadowsky modern 5
6: modulus fretted 6er
7: fodera 5er
8: nordstrand singlecut 6er
9: mtd 5 er
10: Azola Acoustic Baby Bass

most of those wouldnt be needed, so without the ones that overlap could go. i would need to keep the conklins, the sadowsky, the hanewinckel, and the azola.
