Betcha can't tell I like Fenders I'd love to have several Precisions and Jazzes, with different finish and fingerboard options.

The Gibson EB-6 would probably never be played, being relegated instead to a glass case surrounded by lasers.
The same would apply to the Fender Bass V (since it really is probably the rarest Fender bass...even VI's and early P's turn up more often), but I simply wouldn't be able to resist playing it.

Scary post, cause it makes me realize that with 40 basses and counting, I do collect for the sake of collecting.

My "thing" is 1980's basses made at the Matsumoku factory. Mostly old Aria Pro II's (I own 14) but I also have a bunch Vantages and Westones. Recently I've been bitten by the Kubicki bug. I alslo have two Wals and easily see myself collecting those.

While I own a Fodera, I have to say that the tricked out custom stuff doesn't do a thing for me. So I am sticking to my Matsumoku fettish.
