If you had to keep just one?

I would have to play them each to decide, but I also always want a backuo - so I would not sell either.
The only correct answer is to top out this collection with a fretless P and a Rickenbacker 4003.
This is Talkbass. We don’t endorse drastic measures like only having one bass. If finances are tight, our advice usually trends towards more sensible approaches, like selling a kidney.
Wouldn't be a difficult decision for me - keep the Sadowsky. I only play 4 strings, so that eliminates the String Ray, immediately. And... I'm not a Stingray guy. They are fine for a lot of people, just not me.
I’ve got a silly number of basses considering I no longer gig. But I very much enjoy playing different basses. So that is reason enough for me to want to keep them. But I only need one.
As far as doing the 5-Watt World minimizing thing, I think it’s great if someone genuinely feels the need.
But if it ever came to pass that I could only keep one bass in my assemblage, any one of them would do me just fine. Or, if I had to get rid of everything I have for some reason and use a completely different bass, I’d just make that bass work for me.

IMHO, neither have enough strings, but at least the Musicman has the main string needed for true bass. The low B.
I'd keep only my Ibanez SR. Both of them. If it had to be one, it would be the 600E, not the 300E.
I never heard of someone regretting a sale they didn’t make. Conversely, we’ve all heard countless stories of people who have regretted selling something they wish they would have kept and can no longer acquire, or acquire for the same price etc.
The only case where I believe it’s totally justifiable would be if you’re cash strapped.

If you sell either one of them you WILL regret it. Keep them both as you should always take a backup.
If you had to keep just one?: I'dd keep ONE four string and ONE five string.
Oh Man, Don't do what I did. Thinking that I was just going to play this one kind of music and why do I need these extra basses? And NOW, a couple years later, I am playing something different and REALLY need one or more of what I sold a while back. You have 2 great basses that do not overlap much. Pick one for your daily driver and put the other one away - you will need it someday and it is going to cost you more to replace it.
