iGiG Bags at NAMM...

I just received mine (515 black). Totally sweet bag. It has plenty of protection (semi hard sides), and the pockets are designed wonderfully.... pockets within pockets within pockets. It has as much storage room as the Sadowsky Porta-Bag (another great bag), but the pocket design is much nicer for separating cables from tuners, etc., etc.

The straps are VERY comfortable and well designed (kind of halfway between the rather overdone Alpine backpack system on the current inCase bags, and the standard straps on the Porta-Bag.

I'm very pleased, and my rather large, full size J Alleva with that large headstock fits just fine. I like the extra padding around the controls and pickup area, and the 'strap it in' neck support is again similar, but IMO a step up from the inCase/Sadowsky bags.

Excellent design IMO!

So I think I've decided to buy a 515. The idea that it is as strong as my Incase, yet a bit lighter, with storage for my LMII is a pretty good selling point for me. My only major concern is the suede lining on the bags. My incase slim is built like a tank, and still looks almost new after two solid years of use. I'm concerned the suede will wear out and look bad too quickly. Can anyone comment on this?

I've had a black 515 for almost 9 months. I used it every weekend and it still looks like new. It's a great bag. You won't regret it. I don't think anything on this bag is going to wear out. It's a real quality bag.

Thought some of you iGiG owners might know the answer to this.
My LMII fits into the iGiG pocket but it is a pain to get in and out. The feet get hung up and the knobs get turned every which way during the process.
I am looking for a thin sleeve that I can put the LMII into before I slide it into the iGiG pocket. Something thin and slick like nylon would probably be best. I may just wrap it in an old t-shirt for now.

Hmm...this is disappointing to hear. I specifically ordered my iGiG to use it to hold my LMII with my bass. I hope somebody has an answer to the problem you're having, as it seems I'll almost certainly have this problem as well.

Well, I just spent a little more quality time with the case and it does fit nicely and waaaaaay more easily in to the outside pocket. That one zippers on three sides and it is quite easy to put the amp in and take it out. No sweat at all. I was trying to use the "envelope" on the inner pocket which I think is probably better suited for my laptop. I tried that one first because I wanted a little more protection for the LMII.
However, the outer pocket is big enough that I can wrap the LMII in an old T or something for a wee bit-o-padding for my peace of mind.
This case really is cool.

There are 2 storage compartments in the main front pocket of the G515. The inner pocket is designed to fit a laptop, sheet music, etc. The outer pocket is designed to fit an amp.

The laptop sleeve can be used with a really tiny amp like the EA Micro amps but using it for an LMII or other amps will be tight and its not what we designed it for.

I've had my Tweed iGig bag since last summer and it's a great bag. It is a tad heavy but I guess that's to be expected with all the padding and support in there. You can get these on eBay for a good price with Best Offer option.


My other favorite bag is one that I've had since the early '80's and still kickin'

I'll throw in. I've had the tweed for a few months now, and this bag ROCKS. Great protection, comfortable to throw on my back (even with my heavy 5-string in there), and more storage than I ever use.

Don't think twice about this, just buy one. I'll be picking up another one down the road for my 4-string.
