Well,I do have a pretty nice collection of quality,vintage and high-end basses.The only basses I'm missing is a f/less,hollow body,or,an upright(no desire,right now,for any of these,atm.).I've pretty much got everything else covered.

Yes,I DO have a head full of hair(For,I was,"THE MULLET KING",back in the day).

Spandex?!?!?!?Uh....NO!!

I'm 6'-5 1/2",265lbs.

Maybe it is a mid-life crisis.This past spring,I went out and purchased my first dirt-bike(CR250R!!YESSS!!) in 20+ years.I've been itchin' for a muscle car,too.
God'o'mighty.This is gettin' expensive!!

I turn 42 in a couple of weeks. Just got this today.

The headstock is so pointed on this thing our singer is gonna have to wear a helmet and safety goggles just in case it comes even close to his head. I was barely cool enough to rock this in 1985, but i'm absolutely sure im cool enough now. I'll bet you are too. :bassist:

And I think it would be strictly for looks because, as far as I understand (never played one of these), Explorer type basses don't have a remarkable tone (unless you go custom, of course). Besides, "ergonomic" isn't the best word to describe them.

There just looks something right about the Warlock...

The design looks really bad in guitar form. The body is pretty thick, so the "points" look incredibly dull (which is a problem all pointy guitars have, ie. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and Link Removed)... not to mention the bodies are quite a lot larger than most normal guitars, making the shorter and thinner shred guitar necks look toy-ish (which is another problem all pointy guitars have).

The Warlock Bass has a longer and thicker neck (it has probably the beefiest neck I have ever held) than their guitar counterparts along with similar sized body to the guitar version (meaning it is thin compared to most Basses). All-in-all, the Warlock bass not only actually looks menacing, it does not have the awkwardness of their guitar counterparts.


Now, finding a non-import version of one is a bit of a pain.

at 47, you have the right and ability to do what you want. get that bc rich you so badly want. only recommendation i would make is stay away from the power mullets. im 37 and am very much a product of disco and 80s hair metal. enjoy your youth again. after all. now you can afford it.

Good, someone else thinks the Warlock six-stringer looks goofy. I thought I was the only one. Yes, the proportions of the guitar are definitely off... the bass they got right, though.

you all realize this chat is a double edged sword??? :eyebrow:

one one hand here's all the 40 somethings coming out of the woodwork, and sharing their "back in the day stories", and some typical 80's wild-child units,

and on the other hand all the kiddies are saying "haha I wasn't born back then, but all you old folks are selling off your 80's wildchild stuff to us, and allowing our generation to continue on live, where you all only have it in memories"

I was always a Charvel bass fan, and as far as real pointy, this was as far as they got...lol :)

KAHLER Bass Whammy Bar! Yes!

Because the whammied bass solo was always the highlight of every big hair band show...

I think it would look just kick on amibari's Charvel above.
