I'm settled: I only need 2 basses

I'll be 49 this year. Soon 50! Time to reconsider some things...

I think I'm settled on my bass arsenal. It'll wield the 2 following weapons:
-My faithful G&L L2500, 5-string active bass. There is no finer, nor more a versatile instrument. (It emulates a Fender Jazz bass and a MusicMan pretty well too!)
-A quality Leo Fender Precision bass. Classic 4-string, split-pickup design. And such a soulful tone!

I now believe that if I own both such basses, I'll be set for life.

What are your 2 fundamental basses?

For me it's a G&L L2000 CLF Research, with a K-Mod and a roasted maple fretboard, natural.
Second is having my current Tribby L2K completely redone by a luthier I know: keeping the body, installing a completely new neck (handmade, long scale, lined fretless, rosewood fingerboard, same neck shape as now), Jazz and Precision type pickup (not sure what brand I'd take), installing an ACG filter preamp, paint job for the body - probably something old yellowish like those old New York cabs with a black print on it, and last but not least: the headstock should be a precise copy of a Wal MKII headstock, complete with the 2 lines from left to right.

With those two ALL my needs are covered, even my esthetical bass desires.

Okay. I'll go with these two. (Three(or 5 (or 7)) would have saved cropping the pic :D, but if it's a "pick 2" )

Up until this year, I’ve only had one bass for the last couple of years…an 89 Peavey TL-Five. I’ve always wanted something ‘custom’ so I had Brady Muckelroy build me one of his basses. Took delivery at the start of this year and it’s my #1 with the TL in the backup role. I have no desire for anything else.

Can we also assume this your final post on TB?!
