In need of a padded strap

Good day,

I am in need of a padded strap I have a 10 lbs Warwick 5 string Jazzman bass and it is killing my back! The strap I have a a cheapie Ernie Ball nylon strap.

I was hoping to by on of Scott Bass's One Strap. I like the leather, padding, more importantly, the no give it has. Sadly, the store is closed. Do you guys have any suggestions for strap like Scott's that I could purchase. I would prefer it to be a bit longer. I don't want the bass to sit too high. I am bassist for a rock/melodic metal band. Got to keep up appearances.... lol

Thank you for your help!

I have one of those super padded Gibson straps, but I hate it.

I tried it on my uber heavy 6 string corvette, and while it distributes the weight fine, it's so thick it's like having a leather jacket slung over your shoulder.

I did have a 4" wide wetsuitish materialish that may work better but it's in a box somewhere in the garage.

This Levy's strap!! Worth every penny. I have not had any more shoulder pain since buying it this past summer. Extremely comfortable!!
The only strap that works for me when all others won't. Granted, my longterm solution was to rid myself of all heavy basses, and I think that's really the only ultimate solution, but this one sure bought me some time and made basses that are on the borderline a lot more tolerable.

I've tried so many straps and the most comfortable and best heavy bass relievers for my situation have been the Neoprene type. I prefer the Sadowsky wide NeoStrap, but really any Neoprene strap works well for heavier instruments. IMO.

Thanks for this. I've got surgery looming in a few weeks on my spine so I was looking around for a better designed padded strap. I'm just not a fan of leather ones either.

For sure!

It really surprised me when I first bought the strap how much it helps in taking the weight off your shoulders, back, etc.

I have shoulder problems from frequent dislocations and have had no issues using this strap for long sessions, gigs, etc.
