Spector Rebop 4MM for main bass part and for melody (has a touch of reverb) - done in Garageband using Apogee Jam as bass input.

Thanks for listening! :bassist:
Great stuff !
well.......
I didn't come on here saturday except for the morning and not at all yesterday....I was so busy with church and kids award ceremonies and working on the contest song that i just didn't make it on ... the thread shut down and started a new and has blown up[ again. :)

Great work as always Rudy Dukey. Evangellos once again has made me wish i had spent more time on my guitar playing. your getting some great tone.
Duke scared my children with his vocals. LOL Just kidding. they haven't heard it. I heard it first thing this morning at work.
The space vikings song was awesome. the bar has been set high for the contest already.
Thank you Adam, looking forward to listening to what Rip and you have composed. And your guitar of course :hyper:

Did anybody not notice he was using a freakin iRig :D wow. I thought he didn't want signal degradation :)
They are amazing musicians though. I have great admiration for these guys.

Doug plays around with bit-reduction and low-Fi effects, too. Back when he first joined Living Colour I got interested in his playing and explored the Tackhead stuff. Just crazy amounts of effects.

Wild stuff.

Just got my Apogee Jam in the mail last week and have been finding my way around JamUp bass packs 1 and 2. Loving the way my active P Elite 2 sounds with the 360 (and others). Going to try it live at band rehearsal tonight. Thanks for the thread, folks.

Yeah, the AD-200 seems to really need something in the top end. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future update, and give it more highs and mids. The new Para-EQ helps a little but not quite enough.

I'm gonna try putting the BDDI in front of it and see what happens.

I honestly find that to be true of the real AD200 so maybe they should leave it alone??? I only used that amp a few times at a rehearsal studio but during those uses my impression was the amp had a very deep sound without the aggressive top end of other tube amps ( SVT ) so maybe they got the character of the amp correct and you're trying
To make it sound like something it normally wouldn't??

Quite possible as I've never played through the real thing and it does seem to have its own character.

I love the big, low boomy Orange for my acoustic bass guitar. However, you have to be careful. When I use it at open stages that throw a monitor straight back at you, it can feed back very quickly if the sound guy isn't on his A game, so I have a patch set for how it should sound and I have a patch set that cuts some of the lows, just in case.

That is some pretty accomplished playing there my friend - very nice.

And that picture of your Spector on SoundCloud is amazing.

Some of us P-bass guys pretend to hate on the Spector - but the truth is we admire the heck out of them.

(shhhhhh! ...my highschool buddy that became a pro bass player plays a Spector in the studio...don't tell anyone!)

~

Two things that please me about your clip:

#1) It is less than two minutes long.

#2) It is 3 months old.

:p

We are not sure yet on how it will end, it will be an happy ending. :)

Unlike the blowing up of the solar system at the end of the last one? LOL!

Vikings did destroy, but they also built and lived to the hilt!

☼

(ps: You guys are going to be split up for the next contest. That will be rule #1)

:hmm:

If they got it right they got it right, but I think it lacks some grit. I've played on this amp in the London Bass Show 2 years ago. Yes, it is very dark, but I think it had a bit more drive. It is the same per amp as on the Terror Bass 500W which can get quite fuzzy.
