I just bought the Bass Expansion II for JamUp today, but something seems a little weird. Anyone else find the Orange Ad200 to be a little glitchy? It seems like I only need to tweak a control a tiny bit and it gets a massive volume spike. This is just starting from loading up the amp and slightly boosting the mids - no other changes from the default settings. The master volume in the app is at about 60%, which works fine with the other bass models.
Any ideas?

AD200 in JamUp Pro behaves in a similar antisocial manner for me too, which is a shame because I really like the sound of it for bass when it's properly dialed in.
Hopefully the buggy, jumpy controls will be fixed at some point in the not too far future.
I'm less than pleased by the way the controls in some of the other JamUp items respond to my fingers as well.
the PEQ is also especially annoying, but I use it a lot so I might just be noticing it more.
Ah we'll, good to know it's not just me I guess! I think my heart belongs to the Acoustic 360 anyway, so not a massive loss 
The AD200 is a bit glitchy but better now after the last update.

Ok, I got my Ipad , I got my I/O now to buy some apps....
I know a lot of you use Jamup is there a way to buy it in a better bundle than adding everything piece meal.

What I did was get the free version and add just what you want. You get a big savings if you buy bundles, though. Right now there's one or two on sale half price.
I've been gradually buying all the amp and pedal bundles, now that I've gotten more serious about it. I only have one or two more before I have everything.

Buy Jamup XT Pro (also to support the developers) then add the two bass packs.
Other apps? I use plenty of apps. But as a minimum must I will recommend Audiobus, GarageBand, MTDAW,Thumbjam, Audioshare and a good synth. Which synth? Totally up to you. Like Moogs? Then go for Animoog or iMini otherwise, Sunrizer, Magellan, NLog, NanoStudio, Thor, Galileo (if you dig organs).

Audiobus lets a bunch of apps work together. Audioshare picks up the slack and handles apps that Audiobus doesn't.
A good recorder app is a must. Both Garageband and Multitrack DAW are great. GarageBand also gives you some cool touch instruments.
Another app that I've been enjoying lately is Midimorphosis. Kinda a specialty app, but lots of fun.

I originally got the free version because I wasn't sure I would like the app. Now I have upgraded the free version to bring it up to the level of the paid version. I probably lost a few bucks in the process, but its a great app and I don't mind supporting it by spending money in-app.

Hey guys.. sorry if this stuff has been hashed over to death but I quickly realized that reading through all existing pages of the ios discussions was going to take up the better chunk of my day.. I had a few questions..
1. I have an Apogee Jam and an iPad. Should I sell it and get the Art USB Dual pre? Does it give me any advantages over the Apogee? Does it allow me to output without using the headphone jack, or to charge the ipad while using?
2. What do you guys use for secure stands? I have a little stand the ipad can stand on, but I feel like if my cable gets caught or something it's going to yank the ipad onto the floow.
3. Can I use the ipad to drive an amp? Are people playing live with their ipad in the loop? Or just for recording/practicing?

Anyone have any noise issues with ipad and wireless transmitter? I just picked up AKG mini wireless. When using with ipad, the effects coming through Jamup are staticky. No noise when I am not playing - so not static per se. But when I do play the sounds are fuzzy, and are worse on certain effects/settings. Not sure if it is interference since there is no noise when I am not playing. Maybe just need a better wireless?

1) i have the art dual pre....
in features as in and outs and mic inputs and phantom power... it's more flexible than the apogee jam but where the two channels on the art is 16bit/48,000Hz the one channel on the Jam is 24bit/48,000Hz so... 8 bits more dynamic range.
yes the art handles both audio conversions of I/O the input audio to digital conversion and the output digital to audio conversion as well.
also on the art you will have to purchase the iPad CCK for the USB connection.
2) i also put my ipad up on a stand but the usb cable running from the art unit is secured to the stand and then it would be a string of cables and devices would be pulled to get to the moving of the stand.
3) you can use the ipad as a line out to an amplifiers preamp section. yes but you can not drive a speaker with it. unless your driving headphones
I use my Ipad in-line between my bass and DI to FOH it sounds great! not "just" recording/practicing...."AND" recording/practicing.
I'd research all options carefully, and determine which will work best for how you plan on utilizing your iOS rig.
Mine is contained in a rack, and is part of a setup that includes my input device (a Focusrite iTrack Solo), my direct box/converter (an Art Cleanbox Pro), as well as my backline compressor/Maximizer/IEM solution. The initial layout of which, is detailed several posts back. Since then I have put it into a larger Gator rack, and am incorporating a 4-pedal Airturn pedal board when it arrives tomorrow.
As before, it's a preamp and I use mine to drive directly to the FOH and return to my IEM monitoring solution, but also can run to an amp on the occasions where I need a backline amplifier.
Do yourself a favor. If you're running a backline amp solution, isolate your iOS device from the vibration caused by the amp.

I actually surprised myself here.... hehe, struggles a bit playing fingers... Felt like I didn't get the right feel and tone with a pick. I've used my Squier CV60 P bass with flats. Tone was halfway open.
