If it's iOS only, it's Amplitube, oddly enough, simply for mixing options. Otherwise, if I'm going to dump it out to a mac, it's Garageband, and I usually take the tracks into Cubase.
MTDAW is actually fine for mastering, the compressor is nice and the app is powerful. For recording it is less idea due to lack of countdown, syncing etc.

Can't beat the iTrack solo but the line6 offer in between the Jam and the solo
Going to try the Line 6 Software tonight, not expecting much because I'm not at this point willing to re-spend money on the same type of fx.

Hummmm.... MainStage?
Sounds like I need to look into this a bit more. A quick look makes me think it could an effects chain for Vox AND bass. And, it appears to have better sequence support. It could be the best $30 I could spend.
But.... I can't run it on my iPad 4. It appears that I'd need a 64-bit Mac for live use.
I imagine the day is coming when the horse power is available on iOS to run the full blown studio level effects in MainStage but for now, yeah you need a Mac.
Well so far I've been dialing in my iOS rig, and the AirTurn pedal. There were a couple of quirky things to get used to, But so far it works really, really well. One of the cool features is when you set it up to switch stomps you can have one stomp off and one stomp on, and it'll flip-flop those. Now that works out to be really cool, especially when you have a distortion pedal like the Bass Master, and want to use a specific compressor with it, but don't want that compressor used with the clean part of the patch. So what you do, is set up a compressor along with the distortion pedal, and then hide a compressor in the off section, that you will use in place of the distortion pedal/compressor combo and then just toggle back and forth between the two by hitting the assigned AirTurn pedal. So far, I've got some things I still want to iron out, but it's getting there. I'm not certain, but I think I may actually be taking this live this weekend. Wish me luck.

Duh, Line 6 app is all free fx but you need the Line 6 interface.
I'm sure its great on guitar but there is nothing here for bass, some of the fx are nice but without audiobus support its not going to be in my signal chain.
However BitWiz is a very interesting effect/synth not the easiest to figure out as you essentially code the parameters but definitely interesting
Seems like the iTrack solo is worth the extra $25 over the line6. Unless I'm missing something?
Depends on what you are looking for. The iTrack have headphone amp as well, but is maybe a bit less mobile
Mine was very mobile last night. We played a local fundraiser and tonight we play an outdoor gig with it. Everyone who stopped up onstage made comments about how cool the rig was and I got a lot of compliments on my bass sound. Pics coming at some point in time. LOL
Well, whatever you do, don't tell that to my iPhone. Because the iTrack Solo works with it. Pics are a few posts back.
Hmmm.. I wonder why they don't say so on their site. It just says "made for iPad".. I had ruled it out for that reason..
Same here. I bought the Jam instead. Not unhappy with the Jam anyway, it performs flawlessly and sounds great every time, no matter the bass.
I've got some great new presets I set up this evening. I'll share them soon. Still tweaking.
I've got an audition for a new band on Wednesday, and this band uses in ears with everything run direct. That means I'll get to put Jamup to the ultimate test. A band that my tone will stand out if its the slightest bit bad. Can't wait.
Beats me. Maybe the page was built when there wasn't support functionality in the iPhone's programming. They talk about it in this paragraph, but it's not on the specs page.

As an update, I used my iOS rig at our "home nightclub" last night, and had so many rave reviews about the bass tone I was getting. The soundman even said it sounded so much better than the Zoom, much more like a real Acoustic 361. And the bass octave pedal added this tremendous presence to the songs I used it in, just like an octave pedal should.
I wouldn't hesitate to gig this rig anywhere, and I messaged the guy running sound for the Jackyl show we're opening to just make sure it's OK by him as an update to our stage plot. I'll have to upgrade my IEM solution for that, because the stage is much larger, but other than that, I think it's proven itself out very nicely.

- Store or import bass tabs from ultimate tabs, 911 tabs, etc.
- Create a setlist or practice list for a group of tabs
- Ability to import MP3s from my local library and if possible play with the tabs. Go Play Along i think does some of this.
- Slow music down and loop for practice.
I'm not sure how to find this since I've already searched. My goal is really to organize my own practice sessions. I need to put groups of songs together like a lesson plan (or setlist) for each week or so. So often I forget what songs I was making progress in learning and those that I've already mastered.
I was leaning towards OnSong, but not sure it fits my needs.
