Some great reviews and the latest news in apps and sales.

BTW Arturia's imini is on sale currently

FX wise I'm moving into a whole new relm with the iPad and away from the Jamup/Amplitube approach. I think they can still manage my live sound but working on some really crazy stuff :D at the moment

I really don't like their marketing policy.making the app only compatible with their hardware?in 2013? Yeah right

You've got that the wrong way round, its a free app with 32 amps, 16 stompbox and rack effects, and 16 speaker cabinets that is available once you've bought a (in the UK) £69 interface.

Look at the Jam and iRig HD, what do you get, how many fx do you get for free with Amplitube and Jamup?

I don't think mobile POD is really there to compete with how we guys are using Jamup etc but it's there so that if you've just bought a piece of hardware you can use it for more than 10 minutes without having to hit up an in app purchase.

https://soundcloud.com/evagelos-koudonas/funkaholic

The past days i ve been heavily into the old funk (Chic , etc), cos i always loved that sound. And of course those dudes played great bass and guitar back at those days.So i'm kinda rediscovering myself, going back to music i always loved, along with blues and jazz (and of course traditional rock).
Duke is gonna kick ass on the bass in this one :)
Feeling the funk..

I feel like you need him

To play on your track, but I'll do my best!

Multitrack DAW vs Meteor vs Auria (which is 50% off today BTW)?

I'm more looking to toy around than to make professional level recordings.. Is one easier to get my feet wet?

Also it looks like Auria has a large number of expensive add-ons.. are they necessary to get value from the app?

I used my Jamup rig last night at an audition for a new cover band. The PA was good enough to handle my DI, so I rolled with it.

I ended up using the Blueline most, just because it worked with the guitarist's sound best. My usual 360 preset was a bit boomy, and the Blueline seemed a bit tighter in the lows in the room.

Everyone raved about my sound when we were done, and I got the gig.

What drum apps do you guys recommend?

I would like a programmable drum machine app.

I would also like something that has a big library of drum tracks to jam with..
I'd love to find a drum machine app that will allow me to assign pointers to the verse and chorus. This way you have a suto song mode in that if left alone it will go through the intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and ending... But... When you hit a midi pedal anywhere in the current section (verse, chorus, ect), at the end of the section is goes back to a predefined marker, like the beginning of a verse. If you are in a chorus and you want to repeat the chorus, you'd hit a different pedal and run the chorus again.

I've been able to find things like it, but the catch is that I want it to finish the first pattern if I tell it to go somewhere else. Most others change after the measure if not immediately.

That would be my Holy Grail of live iPad drum machines.
