The SVT Blue line on Jamup and the SVT CL on Ampkit are so so close to each other. The Anpkit unit is maybe a tiny bit more versatile as the Ampkit SVT is a CL, 8x10 cabanas several mics.
The Sansamp BDDI in Jamup is great, but so is the Sansamp GT2 in Ampkit. Otherwise, the Orange AD200, SWR Redhead, the two GK's, the Acoustic and the Fender Super Bassman are better then the Trace Eliot the Fender bassman and the Ashdown in Ampkit.
Jamup is the best bass amp sim out there, Ampkit comes a respectable 2nd while Amplitube is outdated. The only solid point of Amplitube is superior recorder/ studio but I use Auria and Cubasis for recording.

Yeah I bought amplitube ages ago and never use it. It's got a nice chorus pedal and that's it! . I've got auria and cubasis too. Amplitube sucks !

So what do you guys use to get your signal from your bad to your iPad (I have the Apogee Jam) and how don you get the sound from your iPad to your amp/FOH?

Will an iPod work? I use my iPad for charts and my iPhone for running my IEM mix.

I have both Jamup bass packs, the Pro upgrade and the effects bundle. JamUp is the top choice for a bass player. Ampkit has some good stuff but they don't offer their bass stuff in bundles so it's going to cost you more to get all the gear and there isn't as much of it that is bass specific. What is better is purely subjective because I would love it the Ashdown and Trace Elliot were part of Jamup. I feel they are every bit as good as JamUps offerings while I don't like their SVT-CL sim.. go figure ;)

Bottom line is I don't think you would regret spending the money to purchase JamUp and the bass gear packs. It's every bit as good ( or better ) as Ampkit and there is more to love, in my subjective and humble opinion ;)

Just got home from the Festival at the ballpark. Nothing but tonal compliments on the 361 model in JamUp. The sound guys were fairly stunned that it was all coming out of my iPhone. Lol. Next stop, Iowa and Illinois, two gigs, two hours apart, one day. Then back to Iowa to play at the University, and then back to Illinois. Portability is so nice to have.

I find the Ampeg SVT CL on Ampkit and the SCT Blue Line on Jamup to he very very close to each other regarding voicing. With the right tweaks on each they will sound so close I doubt it will be easy to know which is which on a blind test.
One thing is sure the two bass packs in Jamup are the best thing happened to bass players on iOS. Ampkit have good gear as well but Jamup wind hands down, easily.

I really want a sonic port.
I have been super busy lately.

Totally off subject but i have to throw this out there.
I recently just bought Logic Pro X.
Amazing!!!
Best DAW out there I don't care how much that offends the protools fanboys. I love protools don't get me wrong but the features and functionality of logic x thwarts anything else.
Protools would have to have such a revamping of the entire workflow and interface it would not be the same program any more. I know that it has been such an industry standard for soooooo long but that doesn't cut it any more.

Had my sonic port for three days! Best hardware investment I've made for a while! May even scale down my pedal board now . Certainly going to sell a couple of multi effects units and no doubt make a lot more back than I payed for the port and app combined!

So.... Do you think we could use 2-3 BT-105s (from AirTurn) at the same time? I'm thinking one for page turning, one for patches, and one for drum machine stuff.

Does the AirTurn change the pedal action to MIDI notes that can then be assigned to different actions? If not, what is the protocol that identifies the pedal actions? Can they be programmed, too? It appears that OnSong has AirTurn compatibility, but I'm not sure how it might handle more then two BlueTooth pedals.

At the very least, I could use 2 sets of 4 pedals for JamUp. Anyone tried that instead of MIDI foot pedals?
