Does anyone know if upgrading from the free version to the Pro version as in-app purchase keeps all previous purchases in place? I seem to recall some problems in the past where people had to buy the bass bundle again when they switched from free to Pro. Any help or insight would be great. I'd love to take advantage of this 1/2 price sale.

Indeed. It's considered a different app so technically the purchases don't transfer. There have been some folks who have talked with Apple and they've received a so-called "one time exception" - their purchases were "re"stored into the upgraded version.

Well, my iPad gets used for music at most gigs (church and jazz) and my iPhone gets used for QMix for my monitor mix so live I have a Pedaltrain Nano with my tuner, DI and IEM receiver.

Maybe I need an iPad Mini to run my iOS rig.

Okay, here's the response from PG. (response was only 3 hrs after my email - Outstanding customer service!) Unfortunately, I'm still not sure if I'll have the bass expansion. I think so, since the response implies that I'm just unlocking the models in the pro version as opposed to changing to a different app.

Thanks for writing to Positive Grid.

The in-app purchase can not be transferred (Apple doesn't allow that), but you can purchase the upgrade inside JamUp XT, it will unlock all the PRO models.

That's what I was thinking it should just unlock those amps and effect pedals and such that are associated with the pro version just like unlocking the classic bundle or bass bundle. I had been looking around the web quite extensivley checking many websites and reviews of upgrading the free version and have not found anywhere else where anyone was having that problem.

I would call it must have just because of the way I use it. I use it for making drum loops, so yeah. I make my initial beats in DM1, then import via Audiocopy to Loopy.

It's a lot of fun but not easy in the beginning. Takes a little practice to get your loops running just right.

Thanks Rip,i ll get it and post later about it.What i already know is that i can change the tempo as well of a drum beat.I can loop in GB but lets hope it ll be easier with more options on Loopy

Hey guys, just looking for some input here. I got Jamup and the bass expansion pack based on the recommendations here. I have been playing with it this morning and am so far not sold.... A little history of my iOS bass exploration:

I had been using the GK app, then because of the limitations of the GK app started using the Amplitube app with the B15 upgrade, i like this better because of the effects flexibility. I basically run the Ampeg and with the generic compressor and get a great sound that sits well in the mix with the iTunes songs I play along too, that's about all I use it for at the moment I have 3 different input devices, iRig (lesson learned...), Line 6 Mobile In (really susceptible to static) and a Apogee Jam (the clear winner of my 3 on hand).

So, trying out Jamup this morning I notice a bit of echo/reverb(aural enhancement?) to the regular(what should be) dry sound...Makes it sound a bit hollow and processed to me, looked for any setting s to disable it, but no go. I guess it sounds okay solo'd, but I rarely play like that. Also, I purchased the compressor and I have to choose between the compressor and the Tech 21 Bass DI, why? Can't I just choose effects based on where I want them in the chain? I do like the other amp modules and see some of the good things, but these couple issues may be a "no go" for me.

Any input appreciated!

You van use The compressor and the BDDI together. Lets say you do not need the noise gate, double click on it. Then the choose option will appear. You will also see 3-4 circles to the left, press them and you will obtain an option to pick between stomp/ modulation etc. pick stomp and choose an additional stomp box.

The delay/ reverb thing. I can't say Jamup have more reverb the Amplitube or the GK app.
