Guys,
I'm currently awaiting my 3rd IE pedal. I have owned the Oxide, I own and currently love the Nimbus and I'm sure I will live the QF2 I have on the way. Taylor makes beautiful pedals. I know it's a funny word to use but any of you using the Nimbus will understand what I mean.
Question - I'm a dirt pedal fanatic and have such confidence in IE now that I'm considering getting a Xero Deluxe. Are many of you using this for rock music? I'm just curious. I've owned filters before but mainly for funk projects. I'm hoping the Xero might give me some cool options in my original rock trio (alongside the nimbus and about 8 dirt pedals). Thoughts?

I use the Xerograph in a rock setting at times, sure! It's great for low-end sculpting. Big ol' basswaves, or just a really fat tone, or for fun Cliff Burtonesque lines. It's really good.
Yeah I use it in a rock setting as well. For funk I actually use my Groove Regulator, I have them both on my board. Not that the Xero can't do funk.
Well Taylor showed his awesome customer service once again. I originally bought the Xerograph and the Nimbus. I commented on here how the Nimbus wasn't what I was expecting. Taylor emailed me and said he'd take it back and refund my money. I shipped it back and he refunded the cash without complaint. I still own the Xerograph deluxe (and love it), and I wish Taylor much success in the future. IF he keeps coming out with innovative products like he is, he's going to be around for a long time to come!

I can't be positive, because they don't give a schematic or much in the way of info on how it works, but because it has a stereo expression jack and a switch to select between two different wiring orientations, I believe it should work.
But, the range knob seems to limit the heel down end of the sweep, rather than the toe down end of the sweep, which is not ideal. I find it to be almost essential to be able to set the high end of the sweep, which is possible with the EP-2 but not this one.
A company called mission Engineering makes sturdy metal expression pedals that are compatible with IE pedals, and I believe a max range knob is a possible option on them.

I will look into that - whatever's currently on Amazon is not direct from us, but through Prymaxe, and they should be getting the full line soon.
Ahhhhh....ok. I do see that now. Sweet. I'm still trying to decide between the Xerograph Deluxe or the Frantabit (changes everyday)....but she best be getting me one of them for Christmas.
I was waiting at work biting my nails expecting my oxide to be on my door when I got home....forgot stuff wasn't running today. It's like having some weird case of blue fingers. Ah well....maybe tomorrow.

i got me a Xero Deluxe... and eventhough i am happy with my Depth Charge, i went ahead and bought an Oxide in one of the IE retailers.
i like the way Taylor works... either that or i am just lucky enough to be part of the IE Circle while Taylor is not yet too busy to correspond with us personally

I shot Taylor an email a week or so ago and he got back to me at 6am the next morning. A very straightforward and helpful guy. I have to wait till later this month to order my XD and Oxide. Just gotta get the go-ahead from "management" that all Christmas gifts are paid for. I haven't been this excited for a pedal purchase in well over a year.

Could this mean there might be a submarine-like IE-preamp/booster pedal in the making?
My significant other has also been a huge part of IE from the start, and she did the swan graphic on the Cygnet as well as the squid/submarine art for that pedal that's not out yet.
