Hmm, I'm not positive if I know what you mean about trouble, but, the pitch tracking algorithm in the Dubterranea is the same as in the FMeron, which most people have had good results with. The synthesis side is a lot more "correct" than the Subterranea - Dubterranea generates real saws and triangles, whereas the Subterranea uses audio-rate switches and simple filtering to create something similar to a sawtooth, but only gets close to a proper saw in a small frequency range.

This post makes me very confident that I will get along just fine with the DubT's tracking; I find the FMeron to be quite reliable, even on my low strings. Can't wait to try it out!

I'll put it through some paces. I've been doing 99.9% all fretless lately. Should be interesting to see how it handles or glitches with it.

I don't have a horse in the game, but...

...in my experience tracking of pedals is all about you/how you play/what gear you use (ie active/passive). Some pedals require you to alter your playing depending on how you play to make the pedal shine. So many times you see someone say a pedal doesn't track well for them but others say it sounds great. If you play sloppy, you can't expect a monophonic pedal to track each slurred note...similarly if your touch is really light or inconsistent, you'll have results that reflect how you play. Some pedals have controls that allow you to adapt how the pedal reacts to your playing style...so there's that too.

SubT on Reverb. No affiliation. Looks like people are starting to move these out in anticipation of the DubT...
That's actually my old SubT I sold about 7 weeks ago to fund the DubT when it was up for pre-order. Weird that the seller is claiming to have used it for a year... also bumped the price up a bit, but heh, capitalism. I really like the finish on it... it came about when I tried to clean it one day and the red top coat started to rub off. I liked the effect so rubbed around the etchings to reveal the yellow underneath. Selling it really was a leap of faith for the DubT.

That Subterranea on Reverb was sold on Reverb a couple of months or so ago. It came from Australia and including shipping cost $260. Now it’s in Alabama and this guy wants $275. I think that’s just uncool. But I feel partially responsible for the recent overblown value because I wildly over paid for one myself and maybe people factored that sale into their calculations.
I thought mine was busted and I was desperate to replace it because I realized that we might end up here

Guess I was mistaken about the SubT. That finish is eye catching and unique tho and it’s got those older knobs on it as well.

Tell me about it. Out of necessity I’m ever aware of a “known quantity” thats working. I don’t mess with it. I’m just hoping to augment it.

No, you were right on all accounts :)
