In spite of all the craziness USPS is dealing with right now, my DubT says it's still scheduled to arrive today. We shall see if it makes it onto the truck for delivery this morning...
We hope USPS delivers to you today so we can hear your initial review, GG. Solo and paired with other pedals. Active and passive basses. A few A/B comparisons through different DI’s. You know, the usual.
May just leave it on the shelf and stare at it instead...
For real though - I plan to test it out with the XD and MF-101 later today.

Sure looks good doubleG, put it thru the paces and let us know how your doing. Me and some people here have been making some headway using the C4 to generate synth voices. That’s all I ever really planed to do with it after experiencing the XD. I’ll build a voice and send it down the IE synth chain. One may get a couple of stand alone settings with any of this stuff but not everything. but a least we’re set,
and with a high bar because of the IE stuff we can feed anything into and know if it’s worthwhile.
If something doesn’t sound good in my chain it’s gone and on to the next/fall back on my tried n’ true cuz man I’ve got some real gems with the SubT/XD-Oxide-Frantabit-Polytope-Nimbus!
Oh yeah and the Your Doom2, that’s a synth board keeper IMO.
What number did you get?
My DubT was supposed to arrive today but I had it sent to my work... I guess I’ll be playing it Monday night now.

I honestly bought this assuming it wouldn't be on my board, since the project I'm in right now is original stoner rock/prog rock stuff. So I assumed a pedal rooted in synth/funk sounds would be more 'fun at home' for the time being. May be wrong on that... Certain octosynth sounds paired with my CAE wah for manual sweeps could actually work in some of the intro stuff we do. Even better - the octave (harmonics about 1/2 way up) blended ~50/50 with clean signal is killer for feeding my distortion and fuzz in sections where I need to beef up a bit and fill more space. Anyway, I'm on the day-one honeymoon phase, but it could unexpectedly find a spot on my board.
It's too early to give any kind of detailed review or comparison with the SubT. What I will say is that the right footswitch to between synth & just octave/cleans is an incredible update. Likewise, the option to select between octave up and octave down for the octo-synth side opens up quite a few more tonal options compared to the SubT. Still rooted in some of the same great SubT flavors, but the upgrades are well thought out.
I started diving into DubT > XD and I found myself in the rabbit hole. With manual or auto sweeps, a filter after this really seems to exaggerate some of the more nuanced differences in the Uni & OctoSynth tones. Anyway, folks with a DubT on the way should thoroughly enjoy it. There's a lot to explore in this little monster - as is the case with all of Taylor's pedals. Dude is good at what he does...

Seems like some good timing. Being in Canada I am expecting about another month or so (I think the XD took about 3 weeks) till I get mine and that will give me plenty more time to learn how to use my XD. That pedal had quite a learning curve for me but now I am starting to make it do what I want. Had an unbelievable awesome, heavy/cool tone last night, Wounded Paw Blender V4 Channel A clean, B Empress Heavy, D>C OC-3 into Oxide into XD into BF-2. It was glorious. I love having the volume knobs for all 4 channels to mix things in just right. A month in I am still in honeymoon phase with both these pedals. Finally figured out how to work the Oxide into mix properly the last couple of days instead of the Sovtek.
Ok I am getting off track here. However I love my XD and Oxide and that is always worth saying. Can't wait to replace the OC-3 with the DubT. After that my BF-2 will be the only tone sucker on my "board"
Maybe by the time the DubT gets here I will have the expression pedal figured out with the XD. Honestly have not tried in weeks. Might get started on that today once it is late enough for me to make noise.

Re: the expression function on the XD. What exp pedal are you using?
If it’s a Moog, you have the added benefit/complication of the exp having it’s own range control for the sweep, in addition to the exp control on the XD. For me, the key was dialing in the frequency knob when using an expression pedal. As an auto filter I set that lower since it effects the cutoff. With an expression pedal, the freq knob sets the minimum/low end of where the sweep starts. I don’t like having a bunch of subs in the heel range, where you don’t get audible sweeping and chewiness until you’re halfway up. So I roll the freq knob up a bit and then I’m starting to get more low-mids/action after rocking forward just a little bit.
It’s all dependent on what you’re going for, but those controls along with the pole switch gives you some great options with manual sweeps.

Not to detract from the DubT convo - but I got a chance to use the Arcing Prisms yesterday in a cool way I thought y'all might want to hear! We put it in the guitar signal chain and I manipulated the "shift" knob in real time as the guitarist was tracking the lead here.
Yeah it's the Moog EP3 like recommended. I only tried using it the second day I had the pedal. I would hope I will have better results now that I have learned what the pedal does a bit more. Always trying different basses and effects with it has helped me learn how to quickly dial it in a lot better now too.
Anyone have a Polytope or FMeron they’re willing to get rid of? I have an open spot on my board and I need to fill it. It’s driving me nuts!
I received mine as well, a couple of days ago... I hadn't had the chance to even open it until now!

Looking forward to getting into it. I will probably start with the Octave since I have an OC-2 (original "Octaver", indeed!) sitting on the board.
I actually have a Moog EP2 sitting around that I got to go with a MF105M. Would that work as well? I never tried it which seems like an oversight.
