Iron Ether Subterranea

I guess this doesn't help those who are waiting, but I made a little soundclip of the SubT using a SA Manta as a filter. Listen all the way to the end to hear the SubT track the low B of my 5 string bass and hold it for a few seconds. Yeah...

Fun clip. I applied some further filtering by making my iPhone a talk box (hold the speaker in your mouth) which sounds amazing with this beast. It filters so well, which is exactly what one needs in a VCO.

Looking forward to paring with my Freqbox - maybe I will finally have a reason to keep it.

You are right, it did not help the impatience.:rollno::scowl::bawl:
Feel free to make many more demos - even with the subT on its own, or with a fixed filter.

Looking forward to using it.

I have this intermittent screeching when the octave is engaged. Both synths are excellent but if that noise is occurring I can't use the octave at all, which is sort of the point.

It disappeared for a few weeks but is now back. Taylor said I can send it in at anytime but that currently the wait is weeks to a month.

My Xerograph Deluxe has been there for five weeks now.

I sent a 2nd hand SubT to Colorado for updates in early January and it took 2 weeks from delivery to get it back and that includes international shipping..

And while there has been many TB horror stories aboout delayed pedals, pickups and what not, I'm absolutely confident that Taylor will make things right by his customers..

Btw the SubT just might be the OC-2 killer I've been lookng for, imho, it just nails that synthy tone I was looking for and that some more..

My last email communication with Taylor was a couple weeks ago and I was told "The SubT will ship soon" Im just going to leave it be and be surprised when it arrives. Honestly I've been trying to buy one used since I know I could recoup my money when I get the new one shipped. I ordered mine Oct. 20th.

yup. I really hope it's only going to be 1 or 2 more weeks now. Cause the final setup of my board is waiting on the SubT since christmas.... :)

I hear that!!! I think I have everything covered and actually traded my beloved BOD at the 8 week mark since I was quoted 6 to 8 weeks. That was early December. Then I heard something was wrong and Taylor was having issues.

I just received a lengthy email overviewing the situation from Taylor. I believe everyone runs into problems and situations beyond their control and its how you handle those situations that define you. Taylor has definitely handled this situation appropriately. I'll be patient and wait until I have to but it would be nice to get the SubT on my board. The sound clips I've heard are amazing. Whenever it arrives it will be worth the wait I'm sure.

I just picked up a used Subterranea from the classifieds here and hot damn!! This thing slays - absolutely blows out of the water every other octave and/or synth type pedal I've used. I swore by my Octron for years, but I'll be selling it shortly, I fear. The Sub-T has such a rich harmonic content and a lot of cut built in - no need to stack drive or fuzz pedals after it, though it's still fun to do that. Currently really digging a 50/50 mix of the Octo synth on triangle and Uni Synth on square, with some Octave blended in; I don't really need the clean blend for what I'm doing right now. Run this combo through the MXR BEF, and I'm loving it.

EDIT! Forgot to mention that the Sub-T tracks all the way down to G for me, sloppy technique and all. Amazing.
