Only without the elitism I assume?
Exactly. One Love and all that.

Pish posh! It's palindromic! How much more elitist can you get?
You would have to be a freemason of greater than 33rd level pedigree to truly understand, to everyone else it's just a name.![]()
And yet here we are....
One could also "debate" the validity of Newtonian physics in the face of a preponderance of facts.
If you disregard reason, then you can "debate" the validity of pretty much everything. Or anything.

Yep, and it is endlessly frustrating. We intellectual elites have it so hard with the burden of being right all the time.

That leaves me out I'm just a mutt.

We could start throwing apples at each other.
What is going on around here? For a while everything seemed somewhat calm and we were having some good discussions as long as I kept quiet. Now it seems like everywhere I turn there is contention and playground tactics.
One of the biggest lies by the climate change fear mongers is that any warming at all is bad. There is no such thing as "good" warming.
Longer growing seasons and increased food production in cold climates is overlooked.
Less heating fuel needed in cold climates is overlooked.
Increased crop varieties in former cold climates is overlooked.
Also, any climate changes will always be worse:
Drought prone areas will see more drought, not less.
Flood prone areas will see more flooding, not less.
Hurricanes aren't that bad, it is very serene in the eye.
One of the easier ways to tell whether someone has anything valid to offer in a discussion is if they start off a post with a statement like this. One of the biggest lies by the climate change fear mongers is that any warming at all is bad.
What did all the overwhelming majority of scientists who agreed with the views of the study say?MIT climate scientist Richard Lindzen:
"The IPCC has truly sunk to a level of hilarious incoherence. They are proclaiming increased confidence in their models as the discrepancies between their models and observations increase."
And comments like that are made by those who don't have a valid rebuttal.
Isn't money to be made in alternative energy if you take away the subsidies. There is however enormous amouts of regulatory control over the populace to be gained as well as billions to be made trading "carbon credits".
As with anything.....follow the money.
As far as alternative energy sources go and the effect that current sources have on the climate, even if it was proven that what we (humans) have been doing to power our world aren't in any way affecting climate change, is moving towards cleaner and renewable sources such a bad thing?
The vast majority of people have no problem with alternative energy or a clean planet. What they have a problem with is the massive taxpayer funding for the many "green" initiatives that do little or no good and are nowhere near as green as is claimed.
