is an F a seven?

Not being able to write in cursive may not be a big deal. Not being able to read it is problematic.
I haven't read all three pages. So if this has been mentioned, so be it. The OP may be observing the first letter of the logo plaque that is on all Fender instruments and amplifiers. Leo signed his name with a "backwards" F that many folks think is a 7, especially a "European" 7 that folks in Europe tend to cross the 7 to distinguish it from other characters.

You mean G minor? F# is the seven in G diatonic, F is the minor(flat)7.
