Is it wrong to think you're unattractive?

Are you saying that you find most women conceited? Thats not been my experience at all. Disinterest is not the same as vanity.

Ok let's try another example. For a few weeks (another net deal) I talked to a girl who lived nearby , she was really interested, we face booked for a while, tried to have a stronger rapport, and she goes " I want to keep us good acquaintances" and unfriended me. Now does it offend me? Not strongly. But does it say she's conceited because she can't have someone on a regular relationship as friends? Totally.

And vanity has little to do with it. It's genuine disregard for honesty that's what it is all about.

Does it really say that she is conceited? What makes you say that?
All Im getting out of your post is that she lost interest in you, and without knowing your interactions with her, there could have been a lot of reasons why that is. It couldnt have been something you said?
Or perhaps you mean a word other than conceited?

Sounds like she didn't like you. I don't see how she was conceited.

She led me on, acted as a friend, and then basically said she didn't need to know me.

Why put all the work in instead if just telling me to **** off? I mean I wasn't crazy about her either but I thought at the least she was conversation.

So she was interested, she got to know you and became disinterested, and moved along. That's going to happen sometimes. You shouldn't take it personal. She probably did you a favor.

Call me crazy, and ironically I'm happy, but I just don't see why not wanting to bone someone is synonymous with not wanting to know someone.

We practice lies, deceit, and betrayal

And then we call it part of relationships.

If I may, I think you take relationships (or just girls) way too seriously.

It's something that I had trouble coming to terms with for awhile after I got to college, but the honest truth of the matter is most girls just want a laid back relationship (if any relationship) at this point in their lives. They'll let you known when they're ready to get more serious. As a guy, it's your job just to be chill and to not over think or over expect things from women. If they seem interested and then change their mind it could be for any number of reasons that aren't even related to you, but given your posts in this thread it seems (to me, and I'm no expert) that you just get too serious, too soon for a lot of them.

I'm kind of like that. Actually, I'm very much like that.

It's not really a problem tho, as I just don't have a social life right now, makes the point moot. :p

I was like that for the first few years of my college career. I never understood why I was having problems getting girls, as I was incredibly successful with them in high school and very early college, but it finally dawned on me that I simply seemed to eager and forward with women. That was turning a lot of them off because it seemed desperate on my part, even though I really wasn't. Once I cooled things back a bit I started getting a lot more numbers and dates because it didn't seem like I was forcing anything. And to think of it, I think that's what scares both men and women in the dating scene. They don't want someone who seems like they're already planning our their marriage; they just want someone to have fun with at this stage in the game. The more serious stuff can come later if it feels right.

I'm currently at work and Facebook is blocked.

Here I am sprinting for NOT last at the last of 2012.

A long time ago when I was allowed to shave my head.

Oh man! I thought you were going to be some grotesque thing that had fallen outta the ugly tree a minimum of two times! Pffft.

You're a very good lookin' man!

I mean that in a manly 'how about them Chicago Bears' sort of way of course....:D

You have nothing to feel bad about.

+1

After my first serious relationship ended a lot of my previous dating issues were put into perspective.

You mean saying things like "I think I know you from somewhere"?

I think she mentioned (indirect language used here) that she got ****ed by a lot of musicians in her past.

Still, lots of girls these days just give off this impression of "this is my crowd, you're not in it, so I can afford to treat you how I want" with basic interactions that basically say "who are you".

Sounds like she didn't like you. I don't see how she was conceited.
so you start flirting with girls for over a three weeks and then decide on a whim that you don't like them?

Tell me how that's not kind of ****ed up; I think someone can tell if they "like" another person, it's not that difficult.

If this were 2007, I'd probably really agree with you. That is, after going out with girls where the entire idea was to prettymuch sexually entice you to the point where you think they might be legitimately honest, and then they prettymuch take your money, and give lame excuses about incompatibility. Go through that about a dozen times and tell me how it feels.

Now, about seriousness; here's where I don't think I'm that serious. See, there's the social clock at work. When I was 22, the idea was date someone, have fun, maybe marry, have kids, and try to make things last. Now the social clock is **** someone til you decide you don't like them anymore, and leave when you feel like it. So we went from a five step plan to a two step plan.

I honestly want to chill, just I don't feel like anyone feels mutually. Or, rather, didn't. We still have to see what the lucky latest contestant holds. I came in expecting nothing, and so far, I've gotten a whole lot. So.

I'm kind of like that. Actually, I'm very much like that.

You're young, you'll tire of it soon.

It's easy, you just need to start introducing yourself with rohypnol.
voluntary interaction is preferred.

In conclusion, maybe I sound serious. But in a different way; back in the day it was "what do I do that doesn't make them want to ****?". Now it's "Why do they find holding an average conversation so difficult that they can't be bothered to interact?" I'm just sick of this social detachment they think they can apply to anything just because something doesn't cater to them immediately.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but it might come off that way.

This probably has more to do with what you bring to the interaction than the women. If you're not pleasant to interact with, nobody will want to interact with you. Maybe you need to assess what you're bringing to the table and figure out what you're doing wrong, because something isn't working.

Or you can just get mad and bitch about it on the internet.

I think he needs to better assess who is sitting at the table in the first place, and avoid alot of tables.
He shouldn't have to change himself, he just needs to find a woman who appreciates who he already is...he can do this faster by recognizing the ones who don't, sooner.
By saying he needs to change himself because something isn't working, you are basically saying he needs to learn to be more manipulative...
Remember Scorp...even us old guys who have been married a long time found one woman who appreciated us, out of the millions who would probably give us the same amount of crap you have been facing.
If you try to change who you are, you will never find someone who appreciates who you are, because you will be busy acting like someone else...that's not the road to truly being happy.
