Just watch the rest of his videos. i wish he was jokingPlease tell me that is some kind of parody video.
Hey guys so i'm saving money for my first bass and I've been looking at bass technic videos and other videos about bass. I came across this video and in the video he says that you can play only open strings for metal? I'm not sure if i understood correctly. On his covers he only plays open strings and doesn't do any fretting. As someone that doesn't even play yet, is this correct? I've never seen this before.
Thank you guys.
Oh nonono trust me i'm not that guy, i even commented on one of his videos and he decided to comment on one of my random gameplay videos about how i had the nerve to ask about his technique when i didn't even had videos of myself playing an instrument. This has OP looking to up view count written all over it. No way these videos are serious.
I have...And i really don't want to sound like that.I’m not sure if you heard his playing. Do you want to sound like that guy? I sure don’t.

He ain’t no bass player, dead give away, he didn’t have a 9volt to put in that smoke detector!
What about the B string? I wanna get a 5 string with a 35'' scale for the B string to sound betterOne thing I will say is open A does sound very good on a lot of classic metal/hard rock songs. Open E as will. Open D is not great as a pedal tone, unless you are bouncing off it like Tool. (Of course all of these need lots of non open notes too)

Man, that drove me nuts for about an entire minute! I was thinking "daggone it, which detector do I have to take a broom to now?"He ain’t no bass player, dead give away, he didn’t have a 9volt to put in that smoke detector!
Speaking of 9 volts, i want to get a little fuzz pedal when i get my bass, should i use a 9v or a power chord? Sorry for the random question.
Sorry i meant to say cord ahahahaha English isn't my first language, my bad.Leave the power chords to your guitarist. You'd have to fret your bass.![]()
