I was about to say that Los Angelinos probably are as well, so I looked up the LA forecast... still 77 high, but 59 low.
Come nighttime I may jealous of those back home.

Ouch. How do you deal with that? The kitchen is warmer than the rest of the house even without the stove or oven going because the mini split A/C that cools the floor the kitchen is on doesn't cool the kitchen. Really gotta get central air one of these days.....

Anywho, once it reaches 85 outside - which means 95+ in the kitchen it's either cold food or outdoor grilling. The missus has a thing about sweat in her food.

97 today in the Apple. About the same yesterday. Low 90s tomorrow. Didn't I just say a couple of days ago that it was comfortable here. Spoke too soon.

Kitchen work, my good sir, is what I do. It gets worse when you also pack 7 people in there with you. The ac doesn't even have a chance and the hood only mildly keeps carbon smoke out of your face. 7- 10 people, 5ft char, 4ft flattop, 3 15gal fryers, 8 top range, 6 top range, 2 convection ovens, 3 foot salimander, a dish machine that pumps 200 degree water and the window lamp. When its all in use, it gets hot. We do what we gotta do.

A welder in Canada? Good idea in the winter. Cozy up to your weld spots if you get cold.

In the summer with 30C outside, coveralls, leather welding jacket, thick gloves, and a respirator? I don't know what I was thinking, but obviously it wasn't straight.

Well it was 115 in the kitchen today. Still is. The temp only fluctuates when someone farts on the line. Too bad working naked "is a health code violation". It's not even hot down here yet. We're looking to break our record of last year,137 on the line.

I feel your pain here! Our kitchens only a 2-3 man line so there's a lot of running around coupled with a very hot, very small kitchen (our walk in is its own stand alone unit outside for Pete's sake!). So far its been up to 134 in front of my grill station...toasty. Luckily I've been working sauté a lot more lately which is right beside a window. Mmmm only 115...

Sounds a lot our kitchen before we renovated. Little bitty with the walk-in outside. It was a pain. For us saute and grill is a one man job. It Suuuuuuuuks. Only about 4 out of 15 staff can actually handle it. It's not fun at all.

Yup. I'm in TX its 98 right now. I work outside and I get to come home to a house with a broken A/C. My room was 87 with the fan on at 6 a.m.

lame!!!! been there been done that... Best houses in Texas are the ones built when there wasn't ac and just a big arse attic fan. Modern houses don't stand a chance without AC they weren't designed for it.

I would have slept outside under a mosquito net in your situation though.

I have found out that the less I look at the temp... Im less apt to complain about it.

LOL. I hear ya. It was in the upper 80's/mid 90's all last week and it gets so damn cold in my office I have to go outside for 5 minutes to warm up! I swear, I'm going to keep a full gym-wardrobe in my desk drawer: Hoodie, Sweatpants, and then an extra pair of gym shorts for when the A/C breaks and it goes up to 90 in our office LOL
