It's really hot in here.

Well it was 115 in the kitchen today. Still is. The temp only fluctuates when someone farts on the line. Too bad working naked "is a health code violation". :) It's not even hot down here yet. We're looking to break our record of last year,137 on the line.

It's broken 100F almost every day for the past couple weeks and it's probably gonna be in the hundred-teens by mid-July with 50%+ humidity.

I know all too well how that feels. Luckily, it has only been in the 90's around here lately.

Last summer was the worst I remember, though. 120F every day AND my A.C. was out for a few of them! My house is an old ass frame house from the 1920's or so and it has no insulation and the windows are all painted (some nailed) shut. I can never get it down to "outside temperature" (much less below!) when the A.C. isn't running - it's always about five to ten degrees hotter inside, even with fans blowing air out.

It's not insanely hot where I am. I live right next to LAX, and it's been between 70 and 85 the last few weeks. I like it when it's about 65 to 70 because I can wear my coat without getting warm.

Lately it's been overcast, making it rather humid. The weather is annoyingly warm, sticky, and annoying until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon wen it kinda clears.

Unfortunately, I work in a building with no AC, so indoor temp is a hair hotter than outdoor temp (between the drink fridge, the arcade, and the cigar humidor, it normally feels about 10 to 15 hotter inside). My room has no insulation and dark walls, it's about 10 hotter in my room then the rest of the house (prancing around with my bass doesn't help).

I'm glad it's not like it was a few years ago wen it got to 113 in LA two or tree summers back. Somebody here mentioned how it's easier to put up with the te heat if you're slimmer....that 113 day was 120 pounds ago, I had to bike to school, it was hell.

Ouch. How do you deal with that? The kitchen is warmer than the rest of the house even without the stove or oven going because the mini split A/C that cools the floor the kitchen is on doesn't cool the kitchen. Really gotta get central air one of these days.....

Anywho, once it reaches 85 outside - which means 95+ in the kitchen it's either cold food or outdoor grilling. The missus has a thing about sweat in her food.

97 today in the Apple. About the same yesterday. Low 90s tomorrow. Didn't I just say a couple of days ago that it was comfortable here. Spoke too soon.
