Staches are great but I prefer them in combo with a beard. You have a really nice handlebar going. Here in Oregon facial hair is pretty much the status quo. Hell its odd to see someone without a beard or mustache. I'm working on something similar to this at the moment.

Thanks! That's a good look, I'm starting to come around to the idea of having a mustache grown out like that coupled with a beard. I can't grow a beard because my job won't allow it, but either way I'd probably still stick with my handlebar without the beard.

How does your job allow you to grow a mustache but not a beard? Are they afraid you'd get caught on machinery or somesuch?

Edit: or do you disguise your mustache at work with like a little bald cap for your upper lip? Lol

I'm 31 years old and a pretty "hip" guy, for lack of a better term. Recently, I've grown mustache, it started as a joke to mess with my girlfriend but honestly, I've started to really become fond of it. At first it was a struggle, like the first 4-6 weeks of growing it in, people in my life REALLY seemed to take issue with it and that caused me to doubt myself, but I knew I had to persevere and see it through, and man am I glad I did. I find that it's making me act differently, like more mature I guess. I feel kind of distinguished and more knowledgable about the ways of life. Also I've found that my mustache commands a certain level of respect that wasn't necessarily there before. It seems like people are taking me more seriously now, particularly at work. It's an odd thing for a man my age to wear a mustache, I don't see it too often, most guys wearing a mustache seem to me to be at least on the other side of their 40's. I dunno, maybe I'm just being dumb, but either way, I like my mustache and I just may keep it around for a while.

I went through this exact same thing, but with a beard, grew it to annoy the women, fell in love with it, grew powerful. I wasn't use to it though and it was bothering my face so I shaved it. I regret that.

Grow it back, except make it a mustache and wear it proud my friend. It took a little time getting used to it tickling my lip but admittedly eating has become a whole new ordeal entirely.
