I must say i reckon joel's warmoth looks better than the lakland.
That one is my winner. although i also really like this one. I'd have in a 4 though

Btw, i got my Zon fitted out with soapbars... Come to think of it, its not that shabby either.
I'm biased what can I say but I love the simplistic look and feel of my bass. The best part is when I strap it on it just feels right.

Here is one I can't get out of my mind... Aria(? I think but don't know for sure). I snagged the pics a long time ago and don't know much about this bass.

I am amazed at how most of the basses in this thread look virtually unplayed, un-gigged at least.
It also difficult for me to imagine what they will look like with the "wear and tear" of years of playing on them.
Another question is probably a bit "hippy-dippy" but how many of these exotic woods are endangered species from rainforests and how do people feel about the ramifications of that?
True using exotic wood for a musical instrument is somehow more "noble" than using it for a cigar humidor or the instrument panel of a yacht but still...
I can't imagine this bass player laying it down on a bubinga what have you and looking as cool as he does with this very nice Kay bass.
But it all kinda comes down to personal taste.

That Aries hollowbody has been a fave of mine for a while.

Can't say I like his work ethic, but Ken Bebensee does make some of the most incredible instruments I've ever seen.
