OEM's gave out? Thats a first. you mean the preamp crapped out.

if this is directed for me, the pups them selves actually got rusty somehow...or more correctly, corroded (sp?). The bass went through a couple of instances of being soaked in beer/soda back in the day. They would cut in and out, and finally just quit working. I didn't replace the pre-amp (I don't think...my friend did the work, and he is a very well established guitar tech for a major label artist so I trust him) and at least he did not tell me that he did....

funny thing was I never started the club....you know how it is a number is a number but who needs a number to show your proud to own a specific unit right?

my sig has no number but it shows I have been a member of the jackson club long before TB.com was thought up.

cool. I guess I bought my bass in 86, so I will just put that in my sig. Gotta represent!

i have a lot of club numbers but took them out of my sig so long ago I don't even remember them all. Kinda cool to say "I'm part of so-and-so club" but not a necessity.

When it comes to Jackson stuff, everyone who has been here a while knows I'm the guy to come to for answers :)

yep, that's why I did. I am sure that I will have more in the future. Actually, just thought of one now...I want to add a hipshot D tuner to mine. Which kind do I get?

I got it for free when I bought a lefty bass off one of the employees at hipshot, but those things are like 60-80 bucks on ebay for righty uses all day. I was going to toss it on one of mine, but I have tuned to DGCF as the standard for years, so it would be pointless unless I sold the bass with it on it for the next person.

Amimbari was curious about my Futura XL in my sale thread, but I closed it following a trade deal so I thought I'd post here too. He'd never seen a W designation, and I don't know anything about Jackson basses so it's a mystery to me as well. But there it is.

Edit: I was told the W may stand for 'wide neck', so just for reference
