ya it looks like a white 1986 alright freeman :)

Mine was a 1986; I'm thinking about getting this one for nostalgia (the one in the picture was stolen back in college):

The "Jackson" script on the bridge wasn't highlighted silver, though.

Hi all.

What you can say about this bass? I wrote to Jackson support, but they did not answered. When it was made, aproximately price? Pickups were replaced by DiMarzio PJ set.

Jackson support..haha is there such a thing?

ya there is but it is a joke.
That is a 1989 Made in Ontario California concert bass if the preamp was not replaced it is a j2000 2band eq.

price as a used unit? that only depends on how bad someone wanted it.

They answered that they does not have any information before 2002=)

Ontario? But there is San Dimas label on neckplate...

About price, what range? 500$? 700$? 1000$? Approximately?

well it may be a parts bass....no way to know, and yes jackson support sucks @$$.
they are about as helpful as a blanket on a 80 degree night.

1987 Ontario 1506-7303
1988 Ontario 1506-7303
1989 Ontario 1506-7303

so this means any serialed plate with the 1506 to 7303 was put together in the ontario plant. It does not necessarily have to have an ontario plate on it to be assembled in that plant in the earlier years

show the backside so i can see the shape of the control cover.
it could be someone tossed a usa branded neck on a model4 MIJ body, but i doubt it the horns dont look like a model4.

used price? I wouldn't pay more then 3-400 for it in any way.
WHY? because it is a bolt on, and the same a a MIJ model4 which is the same exact thing. It just says Charvel on the head and not jackson USA.

The white 93 4-string I bought brand new and beat the crap out of it for 5 years and never....NEVER had to have it fixed! The 93 5-string I had to have and paid way too much for it but it is THE best and easiest to play 5er I have ever touched.

From what I've seen here, I believe this is an 86, but I'm not sure of the model #. I think I am going to list this for sale and want to make sure I get the info correct. This is a bolt on neck with the nameplate with the Texas P.O. Box address on it (serial #299026)

Thank you

hard to say, sometimes you can get a couple hundred and maybe 50 more for the case, sometimes closer to 400 with a case...depends on who's looking at that moment in time your selling.

I always say the value of an item depends on the item's value at the time someone thinks it has value.

you might list it for 3 months without a bite regardless of the price, or first hour of the first day - bam, sold.

just a quick post to show the gang the tricolored crackle I just found.
The one on the right is my neckthru 3b which I have had for years, the one on the left was a 4b body only, so it sports my duck-bill head off my CSM since my spare pointyneck is for a model 1-2 body and won't fit on it.

so now I have 2 very rare units.
