Wow it's a rosewood bass fingerboard when he used a maple fingerboard. Picture below to debunk that. F- for effort.

I call foul on that one. The article not 2 months ago showed Jacos bass RESTORED and looked nothing like this. Also look at the grove in the body near the upper horn, thats a pick trough from a pick slapping against the body from years of play. And as far as I know Jaco never used a pick, did he??? I was just watching some Jaco vids on youtube the other day and most of the wear on the Bass of Doom was on the edges not the face if I recall correctly.

The ad states "The original neck was being repaired at the time, so Jaco installed a '70s Fender Precision neck on the Jazz body." So the pick could possibly be the actual P bass neck (maple).
