Yes, as gtirard said, we are spoiled. So much good stuff for bassists these days. I can afford to spoil myself which is why I don't need or want to get rid of the Mesa heads which are also very cool in their way. Sisma is sounding great with the Mesa cabs so I'm sticking with those right now. I would like to hear the JFA cabs though. And if ya'll want to spoil yourselves some more check out Zerofives Lowrider pedal, it does that cool Pultec trick. Dane just finished up some more and last I looked there were six left. Very cool pedal.

I use that cab always and on larger venues lately I've been using the 115 and 112 and the Sisma sound so good with them.

Received the Sisma today (the one making the rounds) and immediately took it and a barefaced super midget to a rehearsal this evening. Didn’t get loud but my impressions so far are similar to other reviews.. it’s got a big sound, big round low end - even with the super midget not being an inherently deep or thick sounding cab. I also can hear what some folks are saying re the Sisma having more of a class AB vibe.
I’ll post more after some upcoming gigs.

Funny, I had a rehearsal yesterday with Sisma… and my Barefaced Super Compact. It sounded sooooooo gooooood.

Spent some quality time with the Sisma Venere 110/210 last night while working on a bass review. I was running three reference rigs: the Jad Freer, the Ampeg Venture rig I have in for review (V-12/VB112/VB115), and one of my go-to standards, Glockenklang Blue Sky into Duo Art Light (2x10) and Uno Rock Art Light (1x15). The Ampeg is the most colored of the three (though not as colored as some Ampeg rigs), the Glockenklang is very much aimed at full/neutral/balanced/clear, and the Jad Freer was between the two, but far closer to the Glockenklang. In fact, they shared a lot of the same overall qualities - clarity without sounding sterile, even response from top to bottom, and no real inspiration to reach for any tone controls - and directly comparing to the Glock rig (which is one of my absolute faves) left me even more impressed with the Jad Freer. We are definitely into the "different flavors of awesome" territory.

I know there used to be another thread about JF Cabs, but it didn't last long, and now @tombowlus is writing nice things about Venere cabs here…

I mean the idea is not to create a club for owners only, but an official JF thread where people interested can discuss with owners about all JF products (amps, cabs and pedals).

Of course, but I have yet to see or try any of their products. What I read here is fantastic.

I do still have both of my Mesa heads, 800+ and WD800. I was mostly using the WD800 prior to Sisma. I can't get technical because I don't know technical. Obviously the feature set is different. Only thing I can say is that it's working for me. I didn't get it to replace my Mesa heads, I'm keeping both and using them also. I was just interested in JFA's build and wanted to hear how they approached it. Having the available cash allows me to have fun. And I've been having much fun with it. I'm sorry that I can't give you tech stuff about the differences. I can say that if you get a Sisma there is nothing disappointing about it. Only change I would like is a pre post EQ switch on the DI. And not for me but for FOH option. But is has gone through many FOH systems since I've had it and no complaints from sound techs about that as they say what I'm giving them has been working easy for them. So I'm good as is.

Everyone has been loving on the Mesa subway heads for a few years, and I’ve never tried or heard one. Could anybody tell me what the differences are between the models?
