Welcome to the forum. Seems like John took a break for new orders but for anything else you can give him a call, I'm sure he'll be happy to take care of anything your S2 needs at more than reasonable prices.

My custom JD Starbass will be finished next April. I bought these pieces of wood and sent it to John !

I am quite envious.
I have always loved the look of Jaydee basses (never had the opprotunity to actually handle one) ever since I first saw them in old Guitar Player magazines when I was in high school back in the early 80's.

Jaymi, I looked at your Flicker album and if that lefty is the one that was on ebay several years ago I actually bid on it, but it ended up going past my limits. :(

I look forward to seeing your new basses.

How to make a bass player feel old? Remind them how long they've had their bass.
I've had this bass now for 30 years! It's an older pic too but just came across it and thought I'd share.

What he said, a miniscule amount of Celeste basses were built, compared to Mark King models, so few get seen and even fewer commented upon. They're a nice, high-quality alternative to Fender though if you prefer a bolt-on neck, at least they were 20+ years ago. That one was built in 1990 and was the 19th Celeste built. I would imagine six elephant ear tuners and three string guides could mean pretty bad neck-dive though if that body is light. Looks like this one has some cracking in the lacquer around the neck joint, so you might want to double-check that it's nothing structural (probably isn't, but something the seller should have mentioned I think).
