Jazz Bass Mania!

Does these count as a J?

The Midnight Wine bass is just awaiting a gold on/on/on mini switch so I can tap the Nordstrand MM4.4.

The Sunburst PJ hits the road tomorrow in the hands of its first professional demo run.

I am in the process of borrowing a decent digital camera so I can capture a good image of each bass...

Why only get one bass when you can get two for the same price! Case in point, for what some of the Deluxe and MIA Jazzes are going for, I got two awsome Standards! They both play better then some of the more $$$ Jazzes I tried and they got that classic Jazz sound I love! The only upgrades are new pearliod pickguards (can't tell in the photo) and a Badass II on the fretted......

I dont find the MIA deluxe jazzes as sexy as the normal jazzes. But I'm sure they sound good.

+1, the smaller body and 24 frets just doesnt suit the jazz bass look. ill try to get some goo pics of my MIA when i can

as far as im concerned, if your bass doesnt have single coil jazz pickups, its not a jazz bass. you people with hum's in your "jazz bass" should be ashamed, well not really but ou get the point

It's actually 22 frets. If it was 24, it would be ugly as hell.

Hehehe I got a Jazz, I love it to bits, it could still do with abit of setup work, I have worked on it, but it's not quire right- just yet anyways. Still feels great in any respect. Here it is pictured with my rig, a few days after I got it.

I am currently looking into, getting, or building another bass, it will be a P-Bass- with a Jazz Bass neck; I quiet like the thinner Jazz necks, they seem to give my messed up hand alot less trouble- than the wider necks. Still the American Jazz is a beautiful bass, that can put out some great sound.

My Rig: Thats getting upgraded in the next few weeks- I am getting an Gallien Krueger 800RB which I am importing from the USA- and I am currently in the process of designing / building a 4ohm 2x12" cabinet. Should sound sweeeeet!
