I like it.. it looks like a P with a arm rest functioning like the tail on explorers.
I love the big P bass body, and i love the "armrestiness" of the explorer and Roman number inlays, for me it seems like a ace bass.
Infact, unless i win in lottery the next 6 - 8 months and can afford a used Buzzard 1, im gonna get a B2..

someday i will probably buy a B2, B1, and a Stryker, but not today. i have a way of going off sometimes.
I must have missed this post. Thanks for the information, I might see how much $$ it would cost, the extra authenticity would be nice for the tribute band...

me too, me too, and on the day we both own them. we unite! and along with the other people who use those instruments will get together and record 'The Real Me' as a tribute to John.

Was watching the "Live Hits" DVD from the Tommy + Quadrophenia DVD yesterday, and i love what entwistle does a few times. He plays one of his insane fast fills(think it was during "Wont get fooled again"), looks in the camera raises a eyebrow and smile like its the easiest thing in the world.

Yeah that DVD's nasty, even though I'm not a fan of the Who after 78 or so (aside from JE). Check out his solo on 5:15 on the Quadrophenia disc.

you and me both! It's the reason I bought my first Destroyer in the early 80s.... my poor High School Kid's Exploiter!!!
My "Cheapo" (hey, it costed me less than half of what the cheapest Exploiter/Spyder would have judged by Alembics retail price
if you dont count Ebay that is...)Anyoing as it was, RIGHT after i had ordered this one, Ebay was almost swimming in Exploiters.. though the birdseye maple one was a bit ugly.
And they dont have roman number inlays

thats because for John, that is easy. not so for most others. i have that dvd, and i love it. it was also my first Who dvd i think. it is awesome no matter what.

i love John's tone for that disc, it has a synth-type sound, but it is better than what most people do.

that bass is so cool. i want Roman Numerals now! Ebay has a way of when someone buys something, a million people put up the same thing thinking that they might want another.

If you wear it high enough, the explorer is a brilliant design for fingerstyle bassists, IMO it is a very underrated design for bass, just becouse people feel that you should have them by your knees becouse of the design. where them higher and they will rest you arm like no other bass can.
